Very insightful and relevant not only for the tax professional but for professional women in general. Well done!
HR Commission is a racist organization. Wouldn't trust them by their disgusting track record.
What about employers who check your credit profile, are they justified in excluding a candidate over a bad credit profile?
Good. Its a rogue and rabid impulsive commission that jumped to many conclusions. It has weak leadership thats out of touch with reality.
Thank you hight court. This organisation has proven to be a tool at the hands fo the enermies of South Africa, especially Africans of South Africa

That was a wonderful conversation. I recently watched Indian Match Maker and found it to be a nice and easy watch. Anne Muraya, whom I met for the first time last month during the AWAK ladies' leadership conference, is the kind of person you meet and instantly want to be friends with. She was one of the guest speakers at the conference.
Love it. Cheers from UG
Amazing and informative webinar. Thank you for empowering us. Even though i have analysed the code itself, and with my legal knowledge able to interpret it; you have put a shine on my understanding of the code. Grappled with few things which you have clarified now.
Very insightful! A great start of the year.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 04:23 🧾 *The Tax Amnesty Program introduced by the Finance Act 2023 in Kenya provides an opportunity for taxpayers to address historical tax issues.* 13:30 📅 *Taxpayers with principal taxes paid up to December 31, 2022, qualify automatically for amnesty, while those with outstanding taxes need to apply and provide a payment plan by June 30, 2024.* 15:57 📆 *Amnesty is applicable for interest, penalties, and fines related to tax debt from periods prior to December 31, 2022, including voluntary disclosures and ongoing audits.* 20:41 🚫 *Exclusions from the tax amnesty include duties under the East Africa Community Customs Management Act, current-year taxes from January 2023 onwards, and penalties under Section 85 of the Tax Procedures Act.* 24:18 💻 *Amnesty is triggered through the application process, payment of taxes (even one shilling), and an automatic process for taxpayers without principal taxes to pay. The automatic process may take time due to system capacity.* 26:32 📄 *Additional information and detailed guidelines on the Tax Amnesty Program can be found on the [official KRA website](www.kra.go.ke/en/tax-amnesty).* 27:13 📢 *Stakeholder Engagement* - Regular stakeholder engagements on tax amnesty are conducted. - Updates on future sessions are available on social media platforms and K TV. 28:00 📧 *Update Contact Information* - Taxpayers are urged to update contact information to receive important updates. - Incorrect emails and phone numbers lead to missed opportunities. 29:23 📣 *Advocate for Tax Amnesty* - Organizations are encouraged to be advocates for tax amnesty. - Many taxpayers are unaware and may miss the opportunity. 30:44 📝 *Sign Up for Amnesty* - All taxpayers are urged to sign up for the tax amnesty program. - Signing up ensures a clear plan for debt repayment and avoids normal debt collection. 32:07 ⏳ *Fast-Track Document Submission* - Fast-tracking document submission is crucial for reconciliation and conclusion of audits. - Delaying may reduce the number of installments available for debt repayment. 33:13 🚫 *Avoid New Debts* - Taxpayers are advised to avoid incurring new debts after January 1, 2023. - New debts are not eligible for waivers or amnesty. 35:23 💼 *Consider Out-of-Court Settlement* - Encouragement for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to expedite the process. - ADR allows control over the timeline, ensuring benefits from amnesty. 36:43 🧾 *Facilitate Employees' Amnesty* - Employers are urged to facilitate employees to file returns and benefit from amnesty. - Providing P9s to employees is crucial for them to take advantage of the program. 39:05 📈 *File Missing Returns* - Taxpayers are advised to file missing returns to avoid penalties. - Penalties are imposed upon filing, even if initially perceived as none. 41:48 🚧 *Resolve System Issues* - Report any system issues or pending tickets affecting tax obligations. - Timely resolution ensures accurate records for amnesty eligibility. 55:06 🔄 *When considering offsetting liabilities against a refund application during the Tax Amnesty Program, applying for amnesty first may overstretch and carries risks in case the refund is rejected. The taxpayer should be cautious about pegging refund applications to amnesty.* 57:00 🔄 *Changes in the law, specifically under Section 47 of the Tax Procedures Act, allow the Commissioner to pay refunds within six months upon ascertainment of the refundable amount. If funds are unavailable, the Commissioner can apply the overpaid amount to offset other taxpayers' obligations, creating a "vulture" for future use.* 59:54 🔄 *Taxpayers seeking refunds can choose to offset overpaid taxes instead of waiting for the refund process. This option, available in the law, allows immediate generation of a "vulture" that can be used for future installment taxes, offering an alternative to waiting for cash refunds.* 01:03:21 🔄 *Taxpayers who applied for Voluntary Tax Disclosure (VDP) and did not honor the payment plan need not cancel it. Proceed with making payments before June 30, 2024, to benefit from amnesty on penalties and interest.* 01:05:49 🔄 *Taxpayers can apply for more than one payment plan under the amnesty program, allowing flexibility. However, it's advised to consolidate plans to avoid confusion and potential defaults.* 01:12:26 🔄 *While under the Tax Amnesty Program, KRA is not approving or declining payment plans. Taxpayers have the freedom to choose the number of installments within the program's timeframe. However, after the amnesty, KRA may evaluate and approve installments based on the taxpayer's ability to pay and risk assessment.* 01:17:58 📑 *Employers are responsible for providing P9 forms to employees, and employees need to declare the deducted income.* 01:18:39 📝 *Tax amnesty is not only targeted at companies but also at employees; employers should facilitate employees in obtaining their P9 forms.* 01:19:20 📣 *Campaigns are being conducted to encourage non-filers, especially those not in employment, to file even minimal returns and benefit from the amnesty.* 01:20:01 🧾 *The option for the set-off of overpaid installment tax is not available in the drop-down menu for individual taxpayer PIN returns. Taxpayers may need to apply for a refund or seek clarification on the issue.* 01:22:03 ❓ *Participants can find the poll questions in the chat section, where they can respond with a simple yes or no to each question.* Made with HARPA AI
Thank you so much :)
