I'M A MALTESE-AMERICAN WHOSE PARENTS WERE BORN AND LIVED IN COSPICUA IN THE EARLY 1900'S. THANK YOU FOR THE PHOTOS.

I wish i could learn more of the gigantic work that was being under taken as shown here. Particularly with the tools of that time. Presumably aftermath of the war?

Rob it would be interesting to make out with CGI how the three cities were say circa 1800! With CGI one can eliminate the recent buildings and make a mock up or plan as the three cities were originally which most probably were all barren and greenery unlike they are nowadays in the present. Probably back in the past one would only see the fortified walls....

This is quite a surprise seeing where I live now and where my father's ancestors lived since 1709 when they first came to Malta from France I believe. Following this video I was rather emotional as even my home is shown clearly. It reminded me of my youth playing amongst the bastions and the fields watching all sort of actions, from sailing , motoring, swimming and seeing farm animals giving birth. The war had it toll on the buildings we saw in the video but as time went on it was rebuilt in as we see it now. Kalkara is a wonderful place , but it was much better 60 years ago when the traffic was lighter even non existence in some places. The residential areas were destroyed by too much traffic and the bad planners do not seem to consider the residents but only the fast traffic flow. They could do much better if they tried to use their brains. Slowing traffic in residential narrow roads is the easiest issue on earth. However, though the title indicates "a ride with my bike" I would say that it was a motorcycle and not a bike as the manner in which a truck was overtaken up the hill from Bormla, well it was rather dangerous to do it with a bicycle. Congratulations on the video and the route selected. You can call at my home for a coffee anytime. Well done.

a nice archive collection of Cospicua where ones golden youth tines were lived out and now cherished as time went by and new sites took place of old sites before our very eyes....as H.G.Wells said 'time changes space!' and the old vintage photos speak for themselves when seen today how time has changed them from one generation to another and time is a thing we cannot change as it alone changes us... great work Robert. : ) proset.
