Loved listening to him talk, very soothing and reminds me of breaking bad brain Cranston!
there was a time when i used to enjoy very much be it studies or any vacation but now whenever I am outside ,my brain just process all potential threats. even I couldnot laugh . im nervous that if i got something good like veternary medicine. something bad will happen . these thoughts have affected me so badly. now I am dealing with such perfectionism that even if i complete 3 chapters a day my brain donot appreciate rather makes me feel guilty
Im part of that 4% population
Anxiety deteriorated my life
❤
This is too good. Suffering from GAD since 2012. Missed a lot on my career, health and relationships.
Thank you so much for this video
So annoying hearing doctors talk about muscle relaxation exercises, they have always been pointless and induce more panic in me
really good video, although I don't like how most of the times, including in this video, GAD is painted as the tendency to worry about unreasonable things. But what if I worry about things that ACTUALLY happen, and pretty frequently at that? What if my health anxiety has actual reasons as a chronically ill person?
No one knows the struggle of those living with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) every day, every minute, every second. It's a feeling that makes you feel trapped and tense all the time. I've been suffering from Generalized Anxiety for almost 4 years now. I don't want to convince myself, but I often feel helpless. I've reached a point where I don't even remember what it feels like not to be anxious. Anxiety has taken away the joy of trying new things because I'm afraid of criticism and opinions. Anxiety also stops me from learning because my mind is always filled with disorganized thoughts. I truly hope that one day I will come back to this video as a completely different person, and I hope that all of you are healthy and well.
❤ this video.. Absolutely brilliant work.. Thanks so much
i have combined adhd and GAD, its hard but i used to it. but only recently i've been diagnosed with it, i hope meds will help me change some of my routines
I quit worrying about things that I can't control.
Thank you so much for you video and your conversation 😎😊
Wow. That awkward moment when you learn your personality traits are actually symptoms of a disorder. 🫥😳😬🤪
This is extremely helpful for anxious people like me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I have watched so many videos about therapies but yours is the only one I’ve seen that does not make me feel more anxious watching people explaining about anxiety itself 😅, thanks to your calm presence and very followable pace when you talk, makes my monkey brain like me feel like I can grasp the ideas and understand through a stream of infos. Thank you again
You’re welcome my friend
I am a psychologist and your discourse is EXCELLENT! Thanks for doing these.
Thank you Dr Vince, I get specific skills and understanding from your teaching
Thank you so much.
This was fantastic!
Anxiety is more lethal in weekends
This was so helpful. Thank you!
If one has every reason to worry, being in pain 24/7 not getting any help, being the only provider of children, no or little social support, short job periods not knowing if will be offered another period next, sick parents - care taking them and all that comes along with that etc, having skin conditions that’s very much visible on the face which makes social interactions difficult etc
I am truly impressed by Sir's ability to effortlessly elucidate complex concepts with such poise and serenity. His clear, concise explanations, delivered with utmost politeness and precision, greatly enhance the understanding and accessibility of the topic. Heartfelt thanks for the enlightening video on GAD.
anxity is not worthful so leave it
All the things I've worried about actually happen. CBT is a scam.
Awesome! I’m in the 4% of the population. But seriously, I’ve never seen a more perfect diagnosis and explanation. I wish I had seen this video 40 years ago. This is very good information.
Can paranoia and extreme personal insecurity be part of G.A.D.?
Thanks a lot for this video. I might be too aggressive and want to achieve every one of my goals. I thought I could solve every problem by myself. But in fact, it was not true.
Ugghh more of this pls!! Nothing has helped improve my way of lifend explain all of the symptoms i experience than this one 40 min video😭😭
Fantastic video. One of the best ive seen. Thank you so much for making this public.
Hi, What is the book called you mentioned?
I'm 75 and I have GAD and have been diagnosed with this 10yrs ago. I refuse to worry about anything anymore. My issues are overwhelming responsibility concerning keeping my house it's too much for me to deal with also toxic people mostly relatives. Well I'm going to sell my house and get all toxic people out of my life. At 75 I don't need to keep tolerating my situation when I can change it. Down size to Senior Apartment with less responsibility. And forget everything especially toxic people. I'm feeling better already. Thank You DR. It's the overload of responsibilities that's it wish me luck every one ❤
Where you worried 24 by 7?I have gad and i am worried 24 by 7 its been 5 years and i am extrmeely scared of my heart😭😭
@@positive4128That’s extremely common. I went 1 year checking my heart rate using my fingers pressed against my neck to feel the pulse. It was horrible!!! I thought I was losing my mind. Even, after my parents paying for me to see the best cardiologists in London TWICE! Both times they said I was fine. Even after that it took me a good 6 months to get over it. I thought I was going to end up in a psych ward. However, it’s actually very natural and understanding to worry about your heart. A lot of people have been through this. Panic attacks still to this day make me think my heart is gunna explode, but get it checked and follow good heart routines so low intensity exercise like walking and avoid bad foods and do 2 days a week where you water fast and only take a little salt, magnesium and calcium - I hope you get better!
Dr. Greenwood is very soothing to listen to. Thanks for this upload.
Thank you for sharing ❤
I recognize things of myself but just want to say Jesus is Lord and walking with Him will make you get delivered from all we are not meant to live with our whole life. 100! Accepting Him as Lord and savior changed my life. These type of disorders and stuff really can make you feel so depressed and there are many who that took their lives cause of stress and anxiety. If you read this, I want you to know there is hope! ✨✨🤍🤍
Excelent presentation
Best video on GAD
Excellent discussion
I answer yes to all the questions ! I just turn 60 , and I wish this video by this Amazing Doctor , Was available when I was a teen ! It took almost all my life to understand all my issues and other clusters , I may not know about yet ! Is sad but is sad ! 😮😮. But I am feeling positive to be free of it one day !
The worst thing is when someone with GAD cares about someone with an avoidant-attachment. They can be cruel to someone with GAD. One actually yelled at me saying, "WHY DO YOU CARE!!???"
Symptoms can be visible, more than once i have been asked why i was shacking so much. You forgot one of the downsides include lower life span since the constant adrenaline overworks the heart.
I was diagnosed 2 days ago G.A.D. and. PtSD and im scared i hurt daily yall bite my nails panic attacks tremors muscle spasms legs hurt arms hurt its a complete mess
No, find the source of your anxiety and destroy it or leave it. CBT is like masturbating, it doesn’t do fuck all
This really helped put all my worries and concerns into a more logical way of thinking. Especially the “on a scale of 0-100 how bad is the thing you’re worrying about going to effect you?” Thank you for this video!
And we are given no medications because we are seen as "DRUG SEEKERS", I've tried to heal in so many ways, then stopped by pharmacies and/ or Doctors, it's all BS!
Thank you ❤
Understanding anxiety is the key to relief! Understand it's not going to kill you! Understand your heart can beat up to hundreds of beats per minute, but it won't kill you. Just understand it, it's the key to success.
THIS is the issue.. the focus on the fast heart beat/heart palpitations- it’s trying to tell myself “it’s ok and the more I give in, the worse the anxiety gets”.. it’s crazy how the mind doesn’t always listen.. we KNOW it’s going to be ok but the physical symptoms trigger the anxiety…
Negative thoughts precursor to anxiety.
Ironically, this a great example of unintentional ASMR. Very soothing voice.
