I do love it when the sun is bright in the morning because i love being outside around plants and trees but i noticed that i only love the hours before 11 am because the light is sideways and its beautiful not too strong. I don't like all the other hours of daylight. I love the whole night tho, I like being home and hearing nothing and going on walks at night to places where there's zero light and handly any buildings and hanging out on the porch and seeing pitch blackness. its so peaceful so i guess i am a night person.

Good video. I can highly relate to what you have said. I feel I have done enough writing work to prove I could make a living off writing if I was able to constantly pitch and not get discouraged by rejection. Besides constant depression and anxiety, my inability to take rejection hurts me a lot. I started my channel, like you, to help me collect my thoughts and hopefully motivate myself by publicly setting goals (which might be more effective if anyone actually watched my videos.) My friend who got me into writing is a New York Times published writer. While in many ways he might be smarter than me, his success also comes from how he is very persistent. He seems to always be energetic and can get an unlimited number of rejections and always keeps moving forward. I wish I could be that way.

I think I too have nyctophillia because I hate sunlight but I feel comfortable in dark and closed rooms. Also I am very dull in the morning and highly active at night. I feel this but my parents just keep saying this is just a pyschology, just my thinking. They never understand me. What should I do

I wish I could sleep during the day and be awake at night but I have a job so it makes it impossible the only night free time i get is on the weekends

I know after working every day, two months can seem like a lot of "wasted" time--but just remember it's not a long time compared to the years ahead. "Not a complete disaster" right off the bat is actually AMAZING; for many, it would take months just to figure out what they want. :) There's a TH-camr named Megan (maybe you already know her) who did a series of videos where she talks about her transition period, and I know everyone isn't the same, but maybe it'll be interesting for you: th-cam.com/video/ql9gVlVeGTI/w-d-xo.html (not sure if including a link will get me marked as spam? oh well) Tutoring or doing something to supplement your income is a good idea! I mean following our dreams is great and all, but we gotta eat, while we do it, right? Why not put your education skills to work, while still having control of your time :) I have mixed feelings about those freelance sites. I feel like they are great in concept but they end up attracting people who are looking for a deal and don't take the business transaction seriously, and short changing people with talent while other people pretend to have talent but are really just making a quick buck on something they themselves don't value. It's probably not all bad, but I just wouldn't take those negative experiences to heart because it's part of the toxic nature of those platforms. Have you considered joining any writing groups, or forming one with like-minded people? Sometimes the camaraderie itself can lift you out of a funk. Going through it alone IS depressing. Hearing from others who are also going through the same stresses is therapeutic, and you can support one another. I agree with Gary Vee's definition of success too. I'm glad you're not giving up, good luck!

Agreed it's about when I get up more than when I go to bed...I've started to get up earlier which I swore I'd never be a morning person and I'm still not but yeah, I don't really need an alarm and I still do alright if I wake up late...but it's rare and it's usually due to health reasons or my body needed it...

Switching it up like that is like having jet lag without flying! I generally try to plan when I want to get up on the weekend, but it really depends on my schedule for the weekend.

My Kid has made my sleeping consistent... wake up at 05.30 every bloody day even the week end... this is not my consistent... I would like to go to bed say 2 - 3am and get up at 10-11am.. thats my sweet spot. Thanks for sharing

Remember the cliche plots in tv shows and movies where people miscommunication and got stood up at various places and all these crazy things would happen because they could find each other, or get to a telephone? That was more pre-cell phone than pre smartphone though. In NYC right before smartphones, the hot shit was Nextels and we all talked to "CB" each other on loud speaker thinking we were cool. Two way pagers, too! Also, small phones were cooler than big phones. Times have changed! And how about, before smartphones, people thought $30 for a cell phone was expensive (I know this because I used to sell them) lol I miss people who didn't stroll slowly while texting and walking straight into oncoming traffic.

They should just create a parallel society where days start at noon/1pm, and night people can live and thrive comfortably.
