I got a iiia, the speeds seem to work fine, all of them, but at the slower speeds, operating the front knob the shutter stay open until I release the shutter, so it only work if I release the shutter? On the faster speeds 1/30 and faster it is fine, I have opened it up and lubricated the mechanism at the front next to the lense and also tried to lubricate the top mechanism but it still work the same way.

I know it's time consuming to produce these sorts of videos, but the more you can share with us, the better - there are so few repairmen left working on these older cameras, and I feel it's important to keep them alive as best we can. Thankx so much for your very detailed videos. I think I have to watch it another 5 times. There are so many little details which are all important. But the more often I watch it the more clearer it becomes. I actually have a Canon IId with a shutter curtain problem, but i guess it should work pretty much the same way. At least the inside does'nt look that much different. Thank you for enlighten us about how this machine works !!
