Now that I'm not a teenager, it's been 10 years and I'm an actual adult, for anyone who bought the story that its expensive to convert from RCA (if that's even what he was using) and if it was it was already digital, and didn't need converting... Sure, and audio interface? but all of the things he needed would have been less than $300 and he was lying to ever single teenager/20 something who walked through those doors, and he recorded, some without permission. Until Aaron can give a breakdown of what the actual fuck is going on with all of this footage and how expensive it actually was, I'll never celebrate this guy. When I went there, he lived in his parents basement..... Bow down to the trust punk king. HOPEFULLY he's less of an asshole now, and HOPEFULLY they don't let people shoot up in the bathroom anymore, and HOPEFULLY there are more responsible adults. Parents met Aaron, and trusted him, when they should not have, he exposed children to really nasty shit, and lied to their parents face that this was all kosher. If you have an All Ages venue, 7th should be an example of how NOT to run it.
For everyone who didn't get to see him live, you can do the next best thing: Be someone else's Pat. Naturally you're gonna hate it and regret it, but some folks might really appreciate what you have to say! Put pen to paper even if you got nothing, it has a way of drawing the story out inspite of our inadequacies. I haven't been back to it in like 10 years as I approach the city limits of 30, but you should always strive to at least be better than me!
Everybody chill the FUCK out bout glasses lass. How you know they ain't nervous ASF?
Or REALLY high?
I love Jesus too. He makes GREAT Trainers
Man, I watched this so many times, I feel like I know everyone sitting on the stage. Like super close friends
Gunpowder and Lead?! Stfu 😮 My life is complete 🖤
Honestly man, I live thousands of miles from pat, but in the past 12 or so years I've listened to him, I haven't found anyone I can connect to like him, values I mean, obviously I don't know the man haha
Same here
People don't drink or smoke at these venues. I'm from Europe so i'm quite very shocked
they definitely do. The guy behind him has a cig in his hand towards the end.
@@itsmanoli8720 yeah, the guy "in the back", "towards the end" you said it yourself
God I loved this place. Does anybody have a recording of star fucking hipster’s playing here like 2010 or 2011?
❤
I miss the Johnny hobo & wingnut days, watching Pat play at the tinderbox. Saw him in Oakland play a solo ramshackle set but it didn’t have the same magic as the VT days. Maybe that was just me being a jaded bitter old man.
Thanks for posting this, I just stumbled into Mischief Brew in the last year or two. Yes, I'm a bit late to the party. This guy was brilliant, it is a shame he left us so early.
7:06 this shit is fire
this venue is called 7th circle now and they still have folk punk shows keep on loving, keep on fighting.
I am once again convinced that life was better before smartphones were widely adopted. Everyone is watching. No one is dicking off on their phone. It was a better time.
I agree, you can see it creeping in here though, at the start the gal behind him is checking her messages long enough to notice, pretty soon that would be everyone every few moments
@@BeautifulPlanet27 2009 was last moment of worlds history being "actually there". after 2012, all was lost, atleast i feel it that way.
That’s me playing bass these chapters have weird names. Like it’s titled enter sandman during the cover of decapitated
Goodness the person with the glasses sitting in front of the bass drum is BY FREAKIN GOLLY one of THE prettiest freaking people ive ever see. If you're out there and you happen to read this, hi🫠.. dang you're seriously beautiful😩🙌🏽 if its possible for someone to have a crush on someone they saw in a video, with no idea what yer voice even sounds like or anything else, then, whelp, I guess I have a crush on you. Say hi, if you'd like. If not, that's totally cool too, lol. I hope you're happy and thriving regardless✌🏽❤
Thanks for sharing ! I wish I could see this line up live 😌 Cheers from France
Faith without works is no faith. I love you Pat. Thank you so fucking much.
Nice and heavy and tight. DRUMMER! A-fukin-plus.[I was a grind/DM drummer late 80s thru 90s]. I found this from Thralls of Metal.
glad hes alive and doin well, but fuck, the world could use his music lately.
Damn salt the wound was $12 when i saw them.
Aint nobodys business with the crowd participation was the highlight
I mean i'm like the biggest Pat fan boy. well, i like saying that while i might very well be not. But fuckin hell the song at 410s/6m50s blows me fuckin out of the water. I don't think i haven't heard it elsewhere, while i am a total sucker for everything Pat performed.
that feeling you get when you stumble across a pat the bunny miranda lambert cover... lol i didn't know i needed to hear that.
This my 70 time re watching this - i love you pat
This vid got me through my last years of high school fr.
who do you guys think won the raffle
Thanx Aaron. Didn't 👀 Eric play. I'm from the main line. So, I shoulda.
I saw them play in Berkeley a long time ago. Erik was at the merch table afterwords and another band was playing loudly. I tried to yell at him how much I loved his music but he couldn't hear me. After a few tries of yelling he just shook his head and hugged me. He got the message. Like 6 years or something later I saw them in Santa Cruz. I told him I saw the Berkeley show and he was like fuck yes dude and hugged me again. He was such an amazing human being. Erik you touched so many people in this world you muthafucka. I'm gonna hug you again in outer space sometime
welp i cried
what a hidden golden treasure
I can smell this place
I watch this set so many times, it's not even funny. The folks who were there were so fortunate!
Great show. The guy yelling at all the kids who didn't pay in the end is the cherry on top.
Erik you will always be my favorite singer songwriter guitar playing hero. You've put your mark on all our hearts
Legend
Hell yeah Aaron! I remember seeing him at 7th and ramshackle at rhino! Love you dude thanks for the upload!
I love all Pat's music, so hearing him go into Gun Powder and Lead was so jarring. I wasn't ready for it and it also fucking slapped. Gives me goosebumps.
❤
Glad I was privileged to have seen his solo shows and Mischief Brew probably 10x cuz they always played all over Philly. RIP Erik, you are deeply missed
damn i belt it smelt crazy in there (positive)
He should do a get back together world tour an really go hard I love this dude First time I come across his music was in a carpark waiting for a dentist appointment, since then can't get enough, all his music go's hard.
What a beautiful soul.
how do you sing with vocal fry like this? he sings with so much emotion
actual answer is his heroin addiction. it cooks your voice
lol this took place on my 7th birthday
Funny, this place is still around still has punk shows and it's now called 7th circle, lol
I can Image the smells there
We're kids building models of a world That we might wanna live in We're sorting feelings in our stomach-- Is this liberation or starvation? But have we made it anywhere at all If the dishes are never done? If we can't live without dishwashers How would we live without cops? And so you're asking me Who does the dishes after the revolution? Well, I do my own dishes now I'll do my own dishes then You know it's always the ones who don't Who ask that fucking question So I don't believe in God But I'm also not an Atheist Because the universe is chaos You know the universe is chaos But chaos picks favorites And you know lately I've been thinking about how I love Jesus Because Jesus he was a dirty homeless hippie peace activist And he said, "Drop out and find God" To anybody who would listen While turning water into space bags x3 With lowlifes and anarchists
[Verse 1] I swear that someday I'll tell you without lying I was born to quit smoking I was born to quit dying On that day Not doing heroin will be easy as piss And on that day I'll stop talkin' so much shit about the government [Chorus] 'Cause urine speaks louder than words On a politician Or on a prison warden Urine speaks louder than words [Verse 2] I swear that today I was born to be livin' I was born to be singin' I was born to be fightin' But will somebody say Is this resistance or a costume party Either way I think black with bandanas is a boring theme [Verse 3] I don't gotta tell you Crackers are great with amnesia When they wanna forget something like Centuries of racism They say, "Look at the man on center stage And pay no attention" While millions get locked in a cage Riots break out in Oakland You might also like Your Heart Is a Muscle the Size of Your Fist Ramshackle Glory Red Ruby Da Sleeze Nicki Minaj Run from what’s comfortable Pat the Bunny [Chorus] But urine speaks louder than words On a prison warden Or on a BART Policeman Urine speaks louder than words
