I'm on both sides. Landlords shouldn't be taken advantage of but landlords need caps on their rents cuz they been gouging their tenants for a couple years, now. And our politicians setting laws where there can not be caps on rents is where it all started. 750 apt shouldn't be getting 1500-2000 a month.

In Georgia, they passed a new bill in April 2024 that allows landlords to hire either off duty officers and other law enforcement personnel to expedite evictions due to the backlog. It was passed so landlords wouldn’t lose out on more money.

Landlords have to go through the eviction process. So they can't illegally change the locks. Once the eviction goes through, they can do that. I'm not gonna judge someone who's getting evicted because I don't know their circumstances.
