How to get an Organ tone on guitar
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
Here I’m using the Fractal FM9 but you can achieve this with any modeler or just a few pedals.
Every Jazz Guitarist Should Have This Pedal (TC Electronic Sample Sustainer)
มุมมอง 25Kปีที่แล้ว
The TC Electronic Sample Sustainer is ideal for guitarists, in this case I reference Jazz guitarists, who perform solo or accompaniment and wish they could sustain chords or pedal tones for even a few moments. This pedal opens up creative possibilities that I find very applicable. I recommend it.

Awesome!🤟🎻🌺😁🎵
Playing percussion on this track with James makes me really proud! The composition, sound and artistry of the whole production is on the highest level ❤
Nice guitar, sounds awesome, great job
Hey thank you for the time checking this out.
Love your playing, lovely guitar but not find how to get in Germany, seems Zaar is a quite new brand, hard to find some info
@@aandy007thank you, if you follow the website link in the video description you can find all the info.
I’ve got a Core Hollow body 1…and a custom 22 S2 semi hollow body. The only difference that makes a “huge” difference to me is the look and the way the body contour feels. The weight too being semi vs full hollow. Neck and electronics are very very similar that I wouldn’t justify the $3000 plus more for my core hollowbody. But of course I prefer the core any day.
I really enjoyed this.
@@richardmurray5956 thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to listen and watch
Awesome!
Ewww. Man, put some socks on please 😅
Stellar song. Has a little blues thump to it. Making Hawai'i proud my dude
I Appreciate you checking it out. Thanks for the kind words
😶🌫️🥶
I have the 20th anniversary Core Artistan. I bought it at Thoroughbred music . Long time ago. Paul Reed Smith was there as a promotion. They had 12 of the Cores in an event. My is number 4 of 12. Mr. Smith signed the back control plate. He is very cool and passionate about his guitars. I still have it. Its in excellent condition for as much as i play it. It still looks brand new. I love the guitar. Very fortunate to have it. But i also love my L.P. and Strat. But the PRS is my favorite looking and sounding one. And easiest to play. Great guitar.
Those were not bubbles or trash in the headstock finish, it appeared to be an open pore finish. Nothing wrong with that.
Awesome job ! what pedals did you use to get the tone?
Kemper with a clean profile and a vibrato effect
@@GuitaristGuyJames thank you 🤘🏽😭🤘🏽
Finally, something I was looking for. I've found the EHX freeze pedal. But it's not the same. You need to keep your foot on the pedal to sustain it. Thanks for sharing
Glad this helped
Where was it made???
Not sure you can find all the info on their website
Hey brother, I am wanting to buy a guitar and this is one that I’ve had my heart set on. Unfortunately, they don’t really have any exposure beyond their own site. Would you say that this guitar is worth the price tag? Quality wise, is it similar to the martins and Taylor’s within that price range? I’m looking at the all wood version
I would get the non electric version and add a third party pickup of my preference. The guitars themselves are great. Not sure what price point they match up with against leading vendors like Martin and Taylor. The instruments are well made and play good. I personally use Maton acoustic guitars.
Hey bud, following up to see how you liked the guitar? I want to buy one but I can’t afford to get ripped off
They’re great for the price but I would get the non electric version and get my own pickup system after the fact.
@@GuitaristGuyJames well shoot, thank you so much for taking the time to fill me in. They are really beautiful guitars and I think I’m going to pull the trigger on an all wood version.
Good luck finding what you want in a guitar, they don't make a les paul that has the specs your looking for either. Lmao
Lmao PRS Core did the trick ✌🏼
@@GuitaristGuyJames that's not a les paul homey 🙈🙉🙊
@@manson9083 have you played one? They’re honestly better in many ways out of the gate. It’s all personal preference of course but that’s what worked for me. LP’s are timeless but have always needed a lot of work to stay in tune and it’s rare to find a good weight.
@GuitaristGuyJames I own a 2019 standard, stays intune just fine. And is my number one. I also own an SG Standard and an EC1000
Wicked
looks more like koa wood
It is!
What's up with all the squeaking of the strings? Keep practicing you might get it right one day.
I checked out your channel. I hope I can be as good as you someday. 🥲
I love these kinda people that like to hide behind a keyboard and say dumb stuff like this. Guy James is one of the best guitar players I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. 🤙🏼
At first I thought he was joking. Then I looked at his channel and it’s pretty obvious he wasn’t. 😂 I loved the open chords he was playing on his electric. So amazing. Anyways, your playing (Guy James) is brilliant!
Man, that came off super condescending. Not very godly of you.
Very helpful video mate! Thankyou. I’m sure by this stage you’ve now got a Les Paul haha cheers
No actually I found success with the PRS McCarty 594 Core!
just when you started to shred it ended! hahaha nice playing and nice tone, too. Very clear.
Thanks a lot!
@@GuitaristGuyJames np. I slowed that last lick by 50% and grabbed my axe to see what it was about. pentatonic up to the root then you hit flat 5 with middle finger and continue up. That was really cool.
@@TruthSurge I’ve got a transcription/tab if you want it. Shoot me a message and while you’re at it look me up on Spotify! I’ve an EP out titled “Amplified”. There may or not be some mancuso licks laced in there.
@@GuitaristGuyJames Oh, I never use tab. If I wanted to learn it, I'd just learn it by ear and watching your vid. I can't remember the last time I learned anything. Too busy with life crap, I guess. but thank ya!!! I'm not on spotify or most social websites. Mostly this one here. keep rockin, mon!
@@TruthSurge totally understand the time crunch. My music is also on here on TH-cam if you go to my channel. All good brother
the complaints of this guitar make no sense go buy a Gibson and look at the garage product you get compared to that Kiesel
This guitar costs over $2 grand dude. It should not have the imperfections it clearly has especially with the volume knob situation. How do the "complaints make no sense" they are 100% legitimate especially for a guitar in this price range.
Thats not Mateo Mancuso!
That makes sense for sure. The SC58 that I have is an Artist top and it’s superb. I had the Stripped 58’ first then upgraded. Seems like the same type of comparison. Thanks man! Keep on rockin’!
Yeah at the end of the day it’s all in the hands of the player but a great instrument facilitates the message easier
Hey Guy! Thanks for the video. So I have a S2 McCarty 594 10th anniversary edition coming to me. It has the American pick ups and electronics, the same as the core. In your opinion, for making the video, do you think that the core would sound basically the same as the S2 with the same electronics? Thanks!
The core I have is lighter and more resonant than the S2 I had was. The appointments of the core are just nicer all around. With the same electronics/pickups plugged in the mix I don’t the in no you’d notice a difference but the playing experience would be for the player.
May I ask what the song was at 2:58 as you played a little demo? It sounded kind of like a part of a blue grass song!
Whiskey Before Breakfast
@@GuitaristGuyJamesgreat cover, I thought that was Whiskey😊
Great video! Love the clean sound of the guitar! What guitar are you using??
Sorry man I don’t recall and I have like 8 guitars.
They have now switched to using Bourns volume and tone pots on their guitars standard.
So beautiful!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
Honest opinion on them compared to something like Orangewood?
Never played orange wood. It’s a great affordable guitar build. I don’t like the pickup though
wow that was great

Is this the laminate or solid sides and back? Thanks
Just figured it out by looking at the model number on the purchase page. Seems to be the laminate. SE delineates solid sides and back. Wow…sounds excellent.
@@Micnifwas gonna say to look on their page because I don’t but you got it! I would get one without the pickup and install your own. Great guitar though.
How do you feel it would complement a tenor Pop vocalist (me)? Thanks. It sounds very nicely balanced and not overly heavy in the mid's as some Koa's can be.@@GuitaristGuyJames
I want want one so bad ! Rod in London
really good. It's heartening to know that not every 'youngster' isn't talking to a sequencer .
The PRS S2's aren't remotely close to a real Core model PRS. I've using & loving PRS guitars since '91, way before the asian invasion SEs or the more beffudling S2 models. Anyway, thanks for telling the truth about the differences. Get tired of scrolling through a million posts like this: "Why the PRS SE is better than a Core American model", when everyone on the planet knows that's complete BS. The S2s are fine for what they are. Almost made in US, just a budget American.
It’s all preference. It the cores really are just beautifully crafted with all the bells and whistles. The private stock stuff to me is pointless and just a flex on proving one’s budget.
@GuitaristGuyJames I agree. But some people at both PRS, Gibson & Fender want Custom Shop materials, like Brazilian Rosewood & Korina bodies.
Bro I’ve got a 94 McCarty, a core custom 24, a core hollowbody 1 and a custom 22 s2 semi hollow and I’m gonna tell ya. The S2 is pretty damn good except how the contour of the body feels and sure slightly the pickups but the neck and playability is almost non distinguishable when I blind tested. The only difference between core and s2 are the carved top, sure the scarf joint neck and the electronics but they are put to the same care and perfection before letting it out of the Maryland factory…same guys work on the core work on the s2 as well. So craftsmanship is still top notch. SE is good for what it is but not same people building those so you’ll be able to tell.
Such gorgeous guitars.
What’s wrong with slippers though?
Don’t understand the value of that ugly reverb. Everyone has a dedicated pedal on their board.
It’s not a bad reverb by any means and it’s space saving.
a very talented guitarist, just not a blues guitarist. No feel, can't cut a groove.
hey! he's picking like a human being in this one!
Blues playing,by a shred guitarist
Matt video is awsome but your tonne is ten times prettier for sure, beautiful, man, well done.
That tone is auto sub. Good god.
What does auto sub mean? 😂
@@GuitaristGuyJames it means I automatically subscribed when I heard it! What is your rig here?
Aww thanks man. It was the kemper in the background which I no longer have
Nothing like the ES335 by Gibson, its PERFECT for this kind of thing ...
💯 agree
Were you using the Kemper on this demo??
Yes, used a mbritt victory amp profile. Don’t have kemper anymore though sorry
Omg a bare foot in 1080p and all 😂 thanks for the video but that made me jump lmao

i screamed. lol.
