This channel features the preaching of Jesus Christ and him crucified.... and him alone as the justification of the ungodly. This is preaching done "categorically." When Jesus declares in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life," he means that categorically. Whatever is not Jesus Christ is not the way but error. Whatever is not Jesus Christ is not the truth but lies. Whatever is not Jesus Christ is not life but death. Unless Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is delivered to you by a preacher, Christ does not come to be your life. If Jesus Christ is not your life, then you are in error, lies, and death. Only the Lord Jesus Christ is something; all other things are nothing.

Thank you Pastor Swenson!
😉 "Promosm"
Excellent thanks be to God
Awesome! God, in Jesus Christ has decided for us, in the affirmative..
Love it! Law and Gospel separated. When the Word of promise is preached, it is enough to revive the heart..to create and sustain faith in Christ!
Theology of the Cross against the theology of glory! Thanks be to God..
I was raised a Seventh Day Adventist.. Then a Calvary Chapel teen.. then a charismatic chaser.. then I gave up. 24 years ago, I found myself in a Lutheran worship service. For the first time, I heard the law separated from the Gospel. I finally heard the message that God's will was exercised for me, in Christ, in the affirmative! I am a member to this day at the same, small congregation, surrounded by southern California mega barns.
Thank you Pastor! Looks like the views are modest but don't be dismayed.. The Word of Christ is the power of God and it will accomplish what it is intended to. The preaching of Christ creates and sustains faith in those whom God has called.
Wonderful message, Chaplain Tim.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 4, Pentecost 11), Ecclesiastes 1:2, 12-14; 2:18-23 was our Old Testament Lesson for the Day.
Perhaps it's the "itching ears" problem, tickmann... Sound doctrine always has Jesus Christ at the center and not our miserable selves--not matter how dressed up they may be in 'personal piety.'' Thanks for viewing and the comment. Nice to know another Led Zeppelin fan can appreciate the proper distinction of law and gospel.
Amen! If only I would hear this in the 'Bible only" evangelical churches. Why doesn't the Gospef of Christ ring out more clearly like this in 'so called' non-denominational churches? I spent 20 years chasing the Holy Spirit (feathers and all) from one charasmatic barn to the next and I never 'heard' the law seperated from the Gospel. Would that more modern day 'make it up as you go' christianism return to sound doctrine in order that the Gospel be preached in purity so Christ would shine more.
