I'm not a big fan of audio series' like Lego but I'll try and give it a go 😬 Yeah I also thought Laura Vandervoort was great in this. I liked the scene with Joshua making contact with Erica but yes it was funny. Hobbs/Marcus is interesting - I forgot about this so am looking forward to seeing what happens with this again.

Oh I looked it up, we might not have sent movies to space. What I was thinking of is called The Voyager Golden Record which was sent in 1977, and it has songs, images, and some clips (though I don't know on what medium, laser disc?).

I will watch further episodes closely to see what the Visitor's stance on puppies is.

If they were indeed happy with how The Acolyte turned out then surely one of the future series in development should be some form of continuation? Fingers crossed 🤞 Oh you called it on the comedy moment. The lightsaber scene was GOLD. As was the sink plunger scene in Joy To The World but there’s a discussion for another time😁 All the best for 2025.

Still enjoying Skeleton Crew .. the uncertainty around Jod is most interesting to me. reView should always be your last man standing 😂😂 I appreciate the V audio book bit. I just wish they would do it as a normal TV series. Wonder if they will bring in the robin hood brigade that Howard K Smith reported on 😂

I’m in two minds about TBB novel setting. Sanctuary definitely sounds like Pabu. I like the idea of it being set after the main narrative and the epilogue. But most importantly I’d like to see Omega’s future principally on screen. I’ll definitely pick it up whatever it is. I miss the gang!

Previous episode had some great comedy moments, but this one had me chuckling most of the way through, with some moments of tension thrown in. Agree about Kelly Macdonald. Love her and she delivered too. Hope we see more.

Yeah my least favourite ep too, but still ok. Liked the just shoot me line too. I don't like the use of regional British accents in star wars- the empire accent was ok though because that older/posher accent was more generic. Is it me or is Jude Law getting to look like Robert Shaw? 😬

Kids can watch this show and identify with the young characters and imagine being in their shoes. Adults can watch and reminisce about younger days and being a young Star Wars fan. And pick up all those gorgeous Easter Eggs. Either way it works for everyone. And that’s why it’s so DAMN GOOD 😁 Dream Star Wars voice? William Shatner for sure.

I'm sitting on the fence, agree with Matty opening remarks but also think it's fun like PLD. Yeah I thought Kim was Maz too. Also loved the visuals when they are on the moon with planet in background and X wings coming in. Finding Jod interesting .. out for himself i think and self preservation. 9.5

Yeah enjoyed this. Good fun. Bits of adult action. Enjoyed the new hope nod. I was also thinking of their earth like / california like home.😂 there was one scene where I thought they were in the neighbourhood from E.T 😂. Looking forward to next episode after the way ep2 finishes. I felt sorry for dad worried about the disappearance of his son.

Love this show! It’s the family feast I hoped it would be, without just being empty calories.

What a spectacular start to Skeleton Crew. It delivered exactly what the trailer promised and more. I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat all the way through. Made me feel 7 years old again 😂😂 Can’t wait for the rest. My only gripe is the runtime of the second episode. But I’m not dwelling on it.

First point, NoES3: Dream Warriors is in fact the best movie in the Freddy IP. Point 2: It brings me endless joy to see PJC doing what he was born to do 😉

As a college student, I interviewed the director Shane Black and Val Kilmer about this movie at the Boston Film Festival. Really cool guys.

I actually rather enjoyed this episode overall although I definitely agree it did not need the non linear opening. If the show had better writing there was a lot here that could have been built on. Alas, I don’t think they do. So I met Frank Ashmore last week at LFCC Winter and got to have a quick chat with him. I asked him about the circumstances in which he found out he was not returning for the weekly series. He says he communicated with the producers through his agent that he thought it was a massive mistake and that at the very least he shouldn’t be killed off to enable a return. Apparently there was quite a letter writing campaign hurled at NBC regarding this so when the phone call came asking him to return he couldn’t really say no. He said his heart was never really in playing Phillip , he disliked the soap opera format the show and become and that the “previously unknown twin”’ of a beloved character was the pinnacle of this. Aside from the money he did it for the fans who had been so vocal at Martins death. He then went on to say how very proud he is of the original mini series and that his favourite scene is when Martin wants to return to Earth with Donovan and has been to be persuaded to stay on the mothership. Apparently Martin reminded me of the work his father had done during WW2. He sounds nothing like Martin/Phillip when he speaks so that took a little getting used to. He was genuinely moved by the amount of people who came out to see him. What a great guy. Hope you and LeGault are getting over your ailments. Both of you take it easy.

I quite enjoyed this episode to be fair. A bit twisty. Jack's emotional rollercoaster was good. Enjoyed Jack/Chad scenes again. I know what you mean about lack of action though. Rekha Sharma who plays Malik is typecast in that kind of character as she was also revealed to be a Cylon in the new BSG 😂 Get well soon Lego.

The Exorcist TV series was great it's on Hulu!

Ahh us first generation fans are starting to get a little long in the tooth hey?? Here’s hoping the Star Wars numbering system doesn’t go the same route as Doctor Who. I’m happy for the new trilogy to be episodes X-XII. I just hope that the trilogy is at the very least reasonably planned out beforehand rather than the disjointed mess that VII-IX are. Rey is a great character that deserves a much better story arc than what currently stands. Sooooooo looking forward to Skeleton Crew.

Interesting Goonies/Skeleton Crew discussion, looking forward to it. Enjoyed your brief Star Trek chat... yeah films 2,3 and 4 with the original cast are just the best 👍 I wish they wouldn't bother with a Rey movie and do something different. That's what George Lucas would say anyway, judging by the prequels and his ideas of what ep7 would have been.

Took me a while to get to this ep. And I gotta say, kool. However Jesse and Grady aren't memorable!?! Gasp. Glen could NEVER be Grady. Never. The only problem I have with this entry is they are trying to convince us they didn't clone Meryl Streep for this as if we don't have eyes.

I have an even greater appreciation for John Williams after watching that documentary. My heart broke when he was talking about his wife. What an amazing talent he is. Would love the opportunity to tell him to his face. Skeleton Crew looks awesome. I cannot wait for this series to start. If it’s Goonies in space then bring it.

I'm looking forward to giving Skeleton Crew a go if you reckon there's an 80s nostalgic kids thing about it. I remember reading John Williams was sent to the recording session for Battlestar Galactica to ensure it wasn't similar to Star Wars 😂.. thankfully he was happy with it.. phew 😂

I can hear Legos voice in my head when I’m watching these episodes. Good fun. Parts of this one worked quite well and it’s definitely one of the best so far. Low bar as it is. Let’s face it though, that Visitor soldier was no Klaus.
