Anyone down for a trip to Carcer??

Does anyone know what model of digital piano was used in this, or if it was a VST? This is the same piano timbre that has been used in some soundtracks of Halo 2, (main menu theme, & battle for earth city) and Halo 3, ( one final effort), but this time in ODST, has a bit more warmth and reverb to it. Apparently it's also a popular piano timbre in the early 2000s, I can instantly recognize it's timbre upon hearing it on different songs during the era. I'm guessing it's either the default concert grand preset on any of the Yamaha keyboard models in the 2000s, or most likely a preset from a Nord Stage keyboard. Both sounds are close to it, but never exactly. Pls help me... I've been looking for it all my life.

Halo 3 feels like an old friend that i stopped talking to for a while. And when i came to check up on it years later it was already gone

I see many people who cherish this game and associate it with their childhood. I completed the og games in 2023, and I do understand why these games evoke in millions of minds. I'm 22, and this piece of music calms me, telling me that my most important choices are made everyday. Every second our choices define us, who we are. No matter how many friends you have, or how many days a week you work without rest - you are strong. And I wish you have a beautiful beautiful life people.

The bungie era of halos will never be topped

Sometimes I wish I was a little older so I could have enjoyed the classic Halos more. I was 12 when Reach came out and got an Xbox 360 that Christmas.

I’m not crying because it’s gone. I’m crying because it happened, and I was there to *live it* with friends. Truly blessed and honored. That goes for Halo:CE, Halo 2, Halo 3:ODST, Halo:Reach, and Halo 4 as well. Such happy memories.🥲Sometimes people reminisce about time wasted in their past, but not a single second was wasted time when playing Halo. Alone or with friends. I regret none of it. In fact, we are all friends because we all experienced the greatest gaming ever together.😊

Still coming back and really respect the good old Bungie. I mean… Halo, Marathon, Destiny has inspired me to create a game and arts that I wanted to create and follow the path. I’m a freshman college student (started late..) and I been working on job, hardly have time to catch new game but I still play Halo & Destiny these days

If the world was going to end id play this. Its beautiful just like halo 3. I feel so lucky to have experienced the masterpiece known as halo 3. Thankyou everyone for the great memories its a shame its over but at least we were all there together. Remember when halo used to bring everyone together? It was truly amazing.

This song always makes me emotional 😢 especially after that battle of REACH.... And of all the men and women who died fighting in that conflict.... It also demonstrates the level of hardship each of the UNSC have to deal with.... Dying is always easier than living.... And happiness is like they say..... A fantasy and hope is just the first step on the road to disappointment 😞...... This piece of music tells us that and dares you the listener by asking you "what have you ever given?" How much have you sacrificed.... Even if you didn't know the end, what have you ever given?"

Thanks for extending this song too. My little brother and I used to play the hell out of Mombasa streets. We were really into Skyrim and Fallout back in the day, so the semi open world of Mombasa streets was great fun for us. All of the classic Halo soundtracks are excellent, but the Reach and ODST soundtracks really make me nostalgic for the fun times I spent with my little brother. Now we're both grown up and we both live in separate states. Even though we still keep in touch, I still miss having him here.

Thank you for looping this much too short gem of a song. I love this song so much and even fall asleep to it sometimes. As gorgeous as this song is, it is bittersweet knowing that most of us here who grew up with the original Halo games are no longer young and that we've all grown up. Plus this song hits even harder now that the original Xbox 360 Halo servers all shut down in January 2022. At least we all got some joy from these classic games.

Listening to this and having a montage of memories overwhelming my mind. I think of all the Bungie developed Halo games. And the books I read in school. All the Red v Blue episodes. Why I understand what my elders mean when they say it hurts to have something so great and it be gone in just a few years. But I did enjoy every moment of it while it was here. 😌

funny that this track is called cyrotube, if you think of it, even the main menu ends with this same track and the cyrotube in halo acts as a "bed" for Spartans untill they are needed. i love to think if halo ended where bungie intended with 3 and the world is in peace. the religious chants really symbolize the eternal slumber of an hero, who have done thier part.

Halo 3 was the first game i remember playing. Never forget those times. It’ll never be the same. I was 2 years old when halo 3 came out, this year im turning 18.
