Why do bad things happen to us and to those we love? I'm convinced that God doesn't choose to do this stuff. But when thus stuff happens to us or someone we love, it is God who offers to us everything we need to cope. God didn't cause our daughter Nellie to have a developmental disability -- rather, it is God who continually offers to us ways to cope with that reality in our lives. And for that I am profoundly grateful, and I praise God for that gift of grace in our lives.

Very based discussion. Only disagreement I have is with the assertion that turn Christianity into the state religion. While it is true that the government of Rome was promoting Christianity from Constantine's period, the most aggressive forms of oppression by Christians occurred during the reign of Theodosius I near the end of the fourth century.

Religious neutrality is not possible. Are there any religions that don't believe they are the true and correct religion? I know of none. Do you people think that America in the past has tried to force Christianity on all Americans, despite being majority Christian?

Christian Nationalism is an evil ideology. It is the revelation of who the god they serve really is, and it is an attempt to snuff out anything that is good in this world. It is the same ideology of Germany during the Second World War. Its partnership with Zionism and giving Israel a free pass to do whatever they want against the Palestinians, is the same thoughts that will lead to the great tribulation. The Bible explains that USA and Israel both will become a dictatorship and that they will spread their influence all over the earth. Religious laws will be enacted and people will be forced to comply or be cast into prisons, and eventually be led to the slaughter. Isa 14:29 explains that it is the Winged Fiery Flying Serpent that will take over in Israel, the Zionist Messiah - and he will finish the job against the Palestinians. Daniel 12:7- explains that Zionist Israel is the Abomination of desolation. (The daily that was taken away was the Covid Lockdowns. Exactly 1290 days later Netanyahu has a speech in the UN where he shows off a united Israel without Palestine.) The flying serpent was the one in the garden of Eden. There is an answer to all of this, the Bible explains that the true Redeemer will go to Jerusalem and put a stop to this evil kingdom. (Isa 59:20). He will of course be labeled as the antichrist by the Christian Nationalists, and they will do everything they can to stop him, but they cannot do anything.

Just going to throw it out , their Christianity is the only true right one , their bible is the king james version, nothing against it , but what about the other Christians that follow a different version, they would not be a true follower.and yeah there's that hiccup
