I had searched for this song for 3 years and couldn’t find it. Another brilliant Beatles fan on TH-cam helped me locate it and I am so glad it’s here! Such a dreamy song that takes you to a magical, melancholy place…my favorite version. Thank you. ❤

Where did you find this?
this is the original key that the demo was recorded in.. later for some reason they decided to raise it up a step,, and this is before drums are added and bass parts as well... they should have left it at this key.. sounds so much cleaner and better.... my opinion
The Beatles wanted it faster. Up tempo and happier. This is okay but I can understand why they did it.
@@thetruthfornow6045 I suspect they'd likely honour the original intention if they hadn't lined it up as a single. I'm not convinced John would have approved. He dismissed the single version of Revolution as too commercial, and preferred the slower White Album arrangement.
@@rotallyPumperednobody thinks the Revolution one version is commercial. The sound distorts out of the speakers and really rocks. Plus it is infinitely more popular on social media. John changes his opinions depending on his mood.

This song doesn’t get the praise it deserves. A beautiful , melancholy and ghostly looking back at the past. A fitting song for the project. I’m glad Paul George and Ringo did this and didn’t try to come up with something themselves. When it comes to songs and vocal with real emotion, John gets it nearly every time.

They should have brought the guitar and piano up and added strings...the official release was too heavy; but brilliant.....
