Well at the age 35 I realized we played this game all wrong as a kid. If we drop it we had to touch the wall before getting hit by the ball

Still cant work out a good throwing technique. Should you aim to hit the kubb from above or in the middle?

Nah the best rule is that if you get "out", you stand in front of the wall and only get back in if you catch a ball before it hits the wall. That way everyone is still always playing, but it adds more competition. You keep going until only 1 person is left

We played it in such a way that you had to hit the runner with the ball. It seems like you could almost always throw the ball faster than someone can run. So the runner would almost always be out, this way. And also, if the ball only has to hit the wall, it may be impossible for any player to tell which touched first. But schools might be discouraging that practice.

The way we played was you run to the wall as the other players throw the BALLS we played with no less than 2 at YOU if you get hit you ASSUME THE POSITION lean against the wall and everyone gets a shot at you.

We played where if the ball doesnt bounce and its caught in the air you must also run and touch the wall as well as a dropp bakl or it hittinf you in general...also we didnt have to hit the wall before you touched it we had to hit YOU with the ball... we'd go into school full of welts hahaha good times

Homie, It's called BenchBall, been playing it since I was 4. Except you use the whole court, 2 benches per side, you can jump off the bench to catch a jail break and if a person in jail catches it they can go back or give it to someone else (Adds strategy and cooperation). AND if you can make a half court shot with the dodgeball (Though the basketball hoop), everyone in jail is free. Its adds excitement and engagement, as well as a constant Hail Mary element at all times. Oh, and 6-Square is a thing

Instead of a strike, if you didn’t touch the wall before the ball you had to stand against the wall while the person who threw the ball got to throw the ball at you as hard as they could and try to murder you. The person against the wall could try to dodge it. We were NOT the same as kids today haha😂

We say "FREEZE" And if we say freeze the person that picked up the ball has to freeze at the spot they were at when we said freeze. We can't say "FREEZE" Until the person with the ball is at least able to throw the ball to the wall. That's how we play it at my school, it could be otherwise for other people. But for us, that's how we play.

This is the closest video to what I played as a kid and was searching for lol. The only difference for us is if you miss and they beat you to the wall. You get pegged while standing facing the wall. Wasn't a gym game for us, just something we did at siblings baseball games with other baseball players so the ball was moving fast.
