🤯 that sounds so good I didn't even know you can do that!😮
@@supersodajerk6582 I saw something similar on TikTok but found it in my canning book!
I get it. I had to trim my loofah early so they will stop pretty soon. Luca and I can get at least one loofah before the frost hits.
@@JonathanGalvan-ff I’ve never grown loofah but that’s so cool! Glad you’ll get some more
I love radishes Can’t believe I haven’t even thought to plant my own.
@@OMWP3 I’ve found that I like different varieties and this is how I can eat them!
That's so awesome. I always wanted to try. If it works out for you maybe I'll give it a try 😀
@@supersodajerk6582 I’ll keep you updated!
That's such a nice surprise 😊
Yes it was!
That’s great. I don’t have success on growing cantaloupe. I remember I grew cantaloupe and I think I accidentally put all of the plants too close together and they died but at least the flowered that’s how you know. I did kind of good but they didn’t get any females.
@@JonathanGalvan-ff I was shocked I even got this! I’m guessing from the compost it sprouted
It looks so good and if a tomato damaged, just don’t throw it away use it for seeds. That’s what I do use with my peppers. If one of them is damaged I’ll take out the seeds and save them for next year. I can’t eat it anymore, but still seeds for next yearand such a beautiful meal I really wanna try it with my cherry tomatoes
@@JonathanGalvan-ff I end up either composting or giving them to the deer!
That looks so freaking awesome.
@@supersodajerk6582 They turned out so much better than anticipated
Such beautiful strawberries how do you take care of them? Mine died the first month I think I overwatered them. The leaves rotted from the base and yeah, really sad about that. Happy gardening.
@@JonathanGalvan-ff They didn’t look amazing the first year - this is year two. I started them from crowns in a container year 1 and then transplanted them out for year 2
@@mizoryluvsme thanks I really want to try growing strawberries next year seeing if I succeed next year
Harvest 👏🏻.. Mystery bug 😀…

Hear in West Texas we have had 100 degree days almost all summer. I would kill to have a day in the 70s or 80s 🥵
@@supersodajerk6582 Oh boy, I can only imagine! We had two or three weeks like that but not all summer
Having someone help you water is such a big help. My son has helped me this year and I am so grateful.
@@supersodajerk6582 it was so helpful! I’m so appreciative of him ❤️
I’m also planting cucumbers for my fall gardening I can’t have catnip or my cats will destroy them
@@JonathanGalvan-ff good luck on the cucumbers!
@@mizoryluvsme thank you
What is cat nip? How do you make it?
@@supersodajerk6582 Catnip is an herb in the mint family! I dry it and give it to family who has cats
You have pollination issues
Yeah, I’m starting to see that :(
Do you know when to plant fall onions? I live in the desert plains of West Texas.
@@supersodajerk6582 I’m not sure to be honest. I ✨think✨ your zone 8b so I would start there! www.almanac.com to research zones
In the beginning of the season I was watering at 10:00 pm with flash light. Now my son helps me by watering early in the mornings. If it wasn't for his help I don't know what I would do.
@@supersodajerk6582 that’s so awesome that he helps! I’m a night owl so I don’t think I could do early mornings.
My garden is not doing so well either some of the leaves have a lot of yellow leaves like my beans beans not look so good and my tomatoes are just seedlings right now. I’m not good at growing seeds, but I think the greenhouse will help a lot, but my garden doesn’t look bad either, the peppers are thriving or at least most of them the corn not so much still green though what I don’t have deer, but the strawberries are not looking so good either. I think it’s because of the heat my small lemon tree I grew from seed is doing very nicely like the other one, but the seedlings are doing awesome nicely too that I’ve managed to actually grow. My pineapple looks amazing. I’m planning to grow some carrots and I’m also planning to grow some potatoes.
@@JonathanGalvan-ff it takes practice and constant learning - I know I’m always learning
I’m just about to start planting my seeds. I’m gonna start planting them tomorrow because my dad just finished my greenhouse and yeah I’m gonna start planting my seeds. I’m gonna hope they sprouted I already have some tomato seedlings that grew from some seeds. They got from some rotten tomatoes that my mom didn’t want, I gladly took them from my mom and extracted the seeds from the moldy tomatoes. I wash my hands definitely Because it was disgusting to touch tomatoes rotten but the seeds have just sprouted so I’m gonna take them and plant them in the greenhouse. My dad just finished. Let’s hope for the best that my greenhouse will help my seedlings grow and I have more plants in my garden because the heat killed a lot of my plants😢
@@JonathanGalvan-ff I think this year has been super hard for a lot of gardeners (myself included). But it sounds like you have a plan!!
@@mizoryluvsme yeah I’m gonna start planting my seeds tomorrow then I’m gonna keep them in the greenhouse and let them grow and then put them outside in the garden. I’m basically gonna grow more plants after the heat wave ended.
I hated the heat wave too. The wave killed a lot of my plants a lot of new seedlings so after the heat wave ended, I started to grow more seedlings with my greenhouse. I still haven’t planted the seeds, but I’m going to pretty soon because a lot of them die from how hot it was, it was 90 to 80°for months four months summer was really hot, but I can’t wait for autumn and be way cooler
@@JonathanGalvan-ff it was really hard here mentally and on the garden. Thankfully we’re getting some much needed rain this week
@@mizoryluvsme I know, right
@@JonathanGalvan-ff We got this though! 💪
Inconsistent watering* causes this
@@guyserenko1354 thanks! I thought it was lack of calcium but it seems more people are suggesting inconsistent watering
@mizoryluvsme I believe it's a combination, without water the plant cant consume calcium too.
The harvest of the potatoes want that bad they’re actually pretty good🎉
@@JonathanGalvan-ff oh yeah brining them inside I immediately felt better 😊
Pretty soon, I’m gonna start playing my potatoes. I’m gonna keep them in the greenhouse so that they don’t die in the winter. I found a sprouted potato. It was already sprouted so I’m gonna leave it on my counter for a little longer to let the sprouts grow before I start planting, I hope I get a good harvest
@@JonathanGalvan-ff oh cool! Keep me updated!!
@@mizoryluvsme I will
Zucchini is green. And zucchini is a squash. So you look to have a crook neck squash
@@MrGRockin great point!
Do the cucumbers have drainage and plenty of root room in those raised areas? And marigolds are wonderful and fast growing!! Will definitely attract some pollinators! Alyssum is also very good and smells great 😊 Don’t stress! It’s the process and what you learn that will make you a better gardener 🙌😇
@@BellasBlossoms444 They will!! I’m thinking of only doing two plants this time so they have lots of room. Thanks for the advice ❤️

How did you grow those zucchinis and tomatoes please give me some tips on zucchinis and tomatoes. My zucchinis just died when I transplanted them and my tomatoes died. I think tomato plants too much water. Love your videos by the way.
@@JonathanGalvan-ff Oh no! It can be tricky for sure - I’ve had things die as well. When did you transplant? Did you harden them off?
I don’t harden my plants off because they’re already in the elements
@@JonathanGalvan-ff Got it! Depending on your zone it could be when you transplanted them. Or like you said, too much water! Plants are so finicky sometimes
That's fantastic 😊❤
