The Cross as the Door to the Pleroma
Welcome to Pleroma Pathways, apocalyptic and mystic Christianity, where we explore esoteric and apocalyptic texts.
In this follow-up, we will delve deeper into the symbolic understanding of the stake, focusing on its figurative role as a door to the Fullness (Pleroma). The Greek word *stauros*, often translated as "stake," originally refers to a fencing post, making its metaphorical connection to a door fitting. Just as a physical post can act as part of a gate or entrance, the stake of Jesus becomes the spiritual passage through which believers enter the Fullness. This profound symbolism emphasizes the transformative nature of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, which opens the way for redemption and reunion with God.
### The Stake as the Door to the Fullness
The Excerpts of Theodotus 26:2 describes the body of Jesus on the stake as the "door" through which we are joined to Him and enabled to enter the Fullness. This mystical imagery suggests that through His suffering and resurrection, Jesus becomes the passage to divine completeness. By being spiritually united with His body, the Church symbolically waits "on the stake" in the eighth heaven, just below the boundary of the Fullness, until the end of the world.
The Excerpts of Theodotus 26:3 further elaborates: "When He enters in, the seed also enters with Him into the Fullness, brought together and brought in through the door." This powerful metaphor underscores that Jesus' role as the door not only grants access to the divine but also brings in the spiritual seed-the collective body of believers-into perfect union with God.
### The Book of the Living
The crucifixion and resurrection are not only about destroying death but also making the "book of the living" available to the members of the Church (cf. Irenaeus, *Against Heresies* 1:7:2; *Gospel of Truth* 21:4-7). Valentinus teaches that this "book" contains the names of all the saved and is identical to the body of Christ, which is also the Church (*Gospel of Truth* 21:4-7).
The passages of this mystical book are "written in the heart" (*Gospel of Truth* 19:34; 22:35-23:17), reflecting the indwelling knowledge of salvation through Jesus. Valentinus emphasizes that Jesus "accepted the sufferings even unto taking up that book" (*Gospel of Truth* 20:10-13). He goes on to say, "Jesus appeared, wrapped himself in that document, was nailed to a piece of wood, and published the Father's edict on the stake" (*Gospel of Truth* 20:23-27). This "publication" of the book reveals the mysteries of divine knowledge so that "the living enrolled in the book of the living learn about themselves, recovering themselves from the Father and returning to Him" (*Gospel of Truth* 21:4-7).
### Bearing the Burden of Humanity
In carrying the stake, Jesus symbolically bore the burden of all humanity, enabling their return to the perfect realm through divine knowledge (*gnosis*). The Excerpts of Theodotus 42:2 asserts: "Jesus, by the sign of the stake, also carries the seeds on His shoulders and leads them into the Fullness. For Jesus is called the 'shoulders of the seed,' but the head is called Christ."
This theme is also echoed in *The Interpretation of Knowledge*: "If now you believe in me, it is I who shall take you Above through this shape (i.e., body) that you see. It is I who shall bear you upon my shoulders" (*Interpretation of Knowledge* 10:31-34). The imagery of Jesus carrying humanity on His shoulders reinforces the idea that His suffering and resurrection are central to the spiritual ascent and reunion with God.
### Conclusion
The stake, both literal and symbolic, represents death and suffering-there is nothing inherently good about it. It was the instrument of Jesus' execution, a tool of humiliation and pain. The significance lies not in the object itself but in the act of Jesus' death and what it accomplished. His death served to destroy ignorance and open the path for divine knowledge and restoration. It was through His death and subsequent resurrection that believers are offered the chance to be spiritually restored, not by venerating the stake, but by understanding the transformative power of His death. Being spiritually united with Jesus allows believers to access the book of the living, recovering their true selves and returning to God. The teachings of Valentinus and Theodotus emphasize that the stake symbolizes death and is a doorway to the Pleroma. The focus is not on the stake, but on the death of Christ, which is the key to divine restoration.

Truth for Jehovah’s Witnesses: What is the Light That Gets Brighter? John 8:12
The concept of light in Scripture carries profound theological significance, symbolizing knowledge, truth, and divine presence. One commonly cited verse on this subject is Proverbs 4:18 in the English Standard Version (ESV): “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” Historically, this imagery connects to the sacred light of the...

Gnostic Understanding on Martyrdom: Rethinking Church History
Gnostic Teaching on Martyrdom: Rethinking Church History We suspect that Irenaeus was influenced by the deception of Satan, as he spoke about martyrs rushing to be with Christ, implying they would enter His presence before the resurrection. As a newborn in the hospital im not sure if i knew who i really was but i did in my childhood it became harder in my teenage and adult years.
A veil was put over my eyes by the powers that were so that I didnt know who i was growing up later in life as a 5-6 and in other years of my life I knew i was Bythios but the interdimenaional mind parasites known as the Archons wiped my memory or took away my soul fragments which is were that knowledge of my self is stored.
But i have repented and i love Jesus Christ cause he saved me.

Hebrews 9:27-28 ESV. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. 2 Timothy 4:1I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom:
Titus Chapter 3 verse 5 . Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 8 and 9 . Salvation is about accepting the GIFT God offers you , not about doing good deeds . A gift is free . It is not free if it has to be accompanied by works . Christ promises to never cast out anyone who comes to Him for rescue . He also finishes whatever He starts , as Phillipians Chapter 1 verse 6 makes clear .
I don't know what your point is this talk is about being born again at the Resurrection of the Dead it's got nothing to do with works
And you're wrong true salvation is about the Resurrection from the dead when Jesus returns to the earth that's true salvation

This surprises me. I thought they taught reincarnation as it was known in Alexandria and the school of Pythagoras and neoplatonism.
Valentinians were Christians so they believed in the Resurrection
@PleromaPathways Esoteric christians never saw it as an either or question.
@MikaPilgrim Some people are afraid that they may arise from the dead naked, and so they want to arise in flesh. They do not know that it is those who wear the [flesh] who are naked. Those who are [able] to take it off are not naked. “Flesh [and blood will] not inherit God’s kingdom.” What is this flesh that will not [57] inherit? It is what we are wearing. And what is this flesh that will inherit? It is the flesh and blood of Jesus. For this reason he said, “One who does not eat my flesh and drink my blood does not have life within.” What does this mean? His flesh is the word and his blood is the holy spirit. Whoever has received these has food, drink, and clothing. And I also disagree with others who say that the flesh will not arise. Both views are wrong. You say that the flesh will not arise? Then tell me what will arise, so we may salute you. You say it is the spirit in the flesh, and also the light in the flesh? But what is in the flesh is the word, and what you are talking about is nothing other than flesh. It is necessary to arise in this sort of flesh, since everything exists in it. In this world those who wear clothes are superior to the clothes. In heaven’s kingdom the clothes are superior to those who wear them. Gospel of Philip The *Gospel of Philip* clearly distinguishes between the concepts of reincarnation and resurrection, specifically emphasizing the resurrection of the body rather than an endless cycle of rebirths. The passage you provided offers valuable insight into this distinction. 1. **Rejection of Reincarnation:** The *Gospel of Philip* speaks about a singular, transformative event-the resurrection-rather than a series of repeated bodily existences as suggested in reincarnation. The text states, *"It is necessary to arise in this sort of flesh, since everything exists in it."* This emphasizes the importance of the current physical body as the medium for divine fulfillment, not a transient vessel to be exchanged through multiple lifetimes. 2. **Resurrection of the Body:** The statement *“It is necessary to arise in this sort of flesh”* underscores that resurrection involves a transformation of the physical, corporeal body, much like early Christian teachings on Jesus' resurrection. This differs fundamentally from reincarnation, which presupposes the abandonment of one body and the assumption of another. 3. **Spiritual Transformation Through Flesh:** The *Gospel of Philip* does not reject the physical body but rather elevates it as the place where divine mysteries unfold. By stating, *“Flesh and blood will not inherit God’s kingdom,”* the text does not negate the importance of the body but instead points to a transformative resurrection where the body becomes spiritual and incorruptible, akin to the glorified body of Jesus. This view parallels Paul's teachings in 1 Corinthians 15:50-53, where the corruptible body becomes incorruptible through resurrection. 4. **Flesh and Spirit as Unified:** The text clarifies that the true resurrection is not a separation of spirit from body but a spiritual elevation *in the flesh*: *"What is in the flesh is the word."* This reinforces the idea that resurrection is not about discarding the physical body but transforming it into something superior-something capable of existing in God’s kingdom. Thus, the *Gospel of Philip* clearly teaches a belief in the resurrection of the body, rejecting any notion of reincarnation. The passage highlights that esoteric Christians, while mystical in their views, adhered to the foundational Christian doctrine of bodily resurrection and did not equate it with reincarnation.
@PleromaPathways Thanks for your passionate participation in commenting. I beg to disagree though. The funal resurrection comes as Apokatastasis at the end of a long series of incarnations. No cycle of incarnations is infinite. The earth existed for enourmous stretches of time before Jesus entered the game. I am very sure both you and I were around as various personas then. I see reincarnation as compatible with resurrection.
Look, when you get down to it, even mental states are actually only physical states, are they not? I mean, the brain is just a-a chemical supercomputer The brain creates chemicals which produce feelings and emotions Like it or not, emotions share some very real biochemical links with your nervous system, immune system and digestive system. Consciousness is a property of the brain, and the brain is a biochemical engine or its just a chemical super-computer. So what is the difference between the 'brain' and the 'mind'? It may seem, on the surface, that distinguishing between the brain and the mind is not important but to understand the Scriptures properly we must recognize the difference in the brain versus that which the brain produces. The dictionary says, Brain: "That part of the central nervous system that includes all the higher nervous centers; enclosed within the skull". In other words it is the physical member of the body that controls the biological functions of the body in addition to producing thoughts, attitudes &c. Mind: the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought Thus the Mind is thinking produced by the brain. If you talk to anyone who’s used DMT or psilocin/psilocybin (aka magic mushrooms) at one time or another they’ll tell you they experienced some very vivid hallucinations - and an almost completely altered perception of reality. This clearly implies that brain biochemistry is consciousness. If consciousness resided in some kind of soul or spirit as the ancients believed, then taking chemicals would have no effect on your consciousness. If you can alter your consciousness by taking a chemical to interfere with or mimics neurotransmitters, on the other hand, then consciousness must be biochemical in nature. Psychedelic drugs like Magic mushrooms demonstrate that consciousness is a property of the brain, and the brain is a biochemical engine in the same way that the engine in your car is a mechanical one. When your car’s engine dies, does another car nearby immediately start up as the “spirit of the car” transfers from one automobile to another? Of course not. You intuitively know that makes no sense. So if consciousness is a property of the brain (which is a biochemical engine), why would it transfer from one vehicle to another when the brain dies? that doesn’t make any sense Psalm NASB 1995 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish There is no conscious existence after death
Jesus or Should i say John the baptized in the sound vibrations , waves like water, and understood the enlightened mind, as sounds manifest into clear empty light everywhere. Gnostic were about symbols and were destroyed by the tribes of judah yahweh, Jewish god of war.

allegorical interpretations of scripture are about understanding biblical stories and characters as symbols that represent deeper spiritual truths, rather than taking the narrative entirely at face value; essentially, it's about looking beyond the literal meaning to find a hidden symbolic meaning within the text. Key points about allegorical interpretation: Focus on symbolism: This method interprets people, places, and events in the Bible as symbols that represent abstract concepts like faith, sin, or redemption. Multiple levels of meaning: Allegorical interpretation suggests that the Bible has multiple layers of meaning, with the literal story serving as a vehicle for deeper spiritual truths. Example: In the story of the Garden of Eden, the serpent could be seen as a symbol of temptation, not a literal snake

**Bythos** and **Bythios** are terms related to Gnostic thought, often referring to similar concepts but used in different contexts or texts. ### Bythos - **Gnostic Context**: In Gnostic cosmology, Bythos is typically depicted as the primordial source or the "depth" from which all creation originates. He symbolizes the ineffable, transcendent aspect of divinity and is associated with the idea of the ultimate reality beyond human comprehension. - **Attributes**: Bythos represents infinite depth, the fullness of being, and often relates to the concept of the divine pleroma, which includes all spiritual fullness. ### Bythios - **Potential Variations**: "Bythios" may be a variation or alternate spelling used in specific Gnostic texts or interpretations. It might refer to similar themes of depth and primordial existence, but the usage can vary across different Gnostic sects or writings. Both terms reflect the complex metaphysical ideas within Gnosticism, focusing on the nature of divinity and the origins of the universe. If you have a specific text or context in mind, I can provide more detailed information!

The evil intentions are to keep mankind fallen by deception. Global secret societies have been around since the foundations. they have maintained the fall in 5 world cycles of time now. We are rolling around to the birthing of the new ages of mankind and their trickster game is to deceive the whole world again. They own lots of land and money, they buy people in society. The form these "houses of worship" and they falsified scriptural text and tell you they are the bible. They were around when the son of GOD came and they were the ones to kill him and steal his story just as he said they would in the tale of the son of the vineyard owner and the evil lazy leasers.
@ it can be understood as a head game they are playing with humanity into not choosing the correct path because of the work it requires. they instead offer lies of idolatry and salvation by taking a bath on Sunday. They are lying to the whole planet and all the peoples on it. their messages are very sweet and pleasing to the humanistic ears.
Great Video Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Good morning, I'm writing from Turin. I'm desperately looking for the Italian version of this book, does it exist??? Is it possible to know if there is a book in Italian that deals with this topic? Thank you
@@ilebambi2443 unfortunately I think there is only an English translation
@@PleromaPathways Grazie mille!
@ilebambi2443 most gnostic books used to be written in French and German and then translated into English during the 1950s but in Morden tines it's mainly English translations
@@PleromaPathways thanks!
Then there’s the problem of the Thirteenth Jesus, as there wasn’t only one
It's not the 13th Jesus it's the 13th demon
Very good
Thanks
The anointing is more important than baptism
I just get bottles and go in the shower or kitchen
It's about submersion
@@PleromaPathwaysit used to be about the Pastor and submersion.
It's always been about submersion according to the Acts of Paul and Thecla you can submerge yourself. The early church called it auto-baptism, and they also claimed that it was invalid. However, I believe it is an important gnostic understanding since gnosis is about self-knowledge so self baptism would be an lateral and logical progression. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” is a Bible verse from Philippians 2:12
Jesus was Man and God in bodily form who bled and ate. He was bodily resurrected. Creation was good and barbalo doesnt exist. Read Against heresies by irenaeus
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is not a co-eternal, co-equal second person of a Trinity but is the firstborn of all creation, the Logos, the divine Word through whom God the Father created all things (Colossians 1:15-16). The Logos is not uncreated or equal to the Father but is subordinate to Him as His divine agent and Son. The Logos existed before all ages, as a distinct and created being, manifesting God's wisdom and power. In the fullness of time, this divine Logos was manifested in the man Christ Jesus, who was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of God's Spirit (Luke 1:35). Jesus, as the Christ, had two natures: one divine, as the Logos, and one human, as the man born in Bethlehem. However, these two natures were distinct and not merged as trinitarianism claims. The man, Christ Jesus, was the Son of God because of his miraculous conception and his unique relationship to the Father. God, who is corporeal and personally present in heaven, extended His Spirit to indwell the Logos and to empower Jesus during his earthly ministry. Through Jesus, the Father revealed His will, performed miracles, and reconciled the world to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). Thus, Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the Logos in human form, yet he is not the eternal God Himself but the one through whom the eternal God acted. The pre-existence of the Logos does not negate the humanity of Jesus but demonstrates how the divine purpose and power of God were fulfilled in him.
Actually I've changed my views on this I now agree with this. It's more logical that deaf existed before the fall the fall is moral not physical
