Welcome to the Aubrey G. Young Music TH-cam channel. I am a composer and sound designer who spends a fair amount of time writing production library music these days. While I love the creative restraints that writing production music provides, I find I often need an environment where I can fully let my creative potential reign free. That is what this channel has become. It is a place where I can explore the fringes of my creativity and see what interesting things I can come up with. Here you will find original compositions as well as some exploring of music and sound design software. I hope that this channel will provide some interesting and unique music for you and maybe spark some creativity of your own.
Night in an Alien Forest - A Sci-Fi Soundscape
You've crash-landed on an alien planet, and you experience your first sleepless night on this strange and mysterious world.
I composed this piece using Dawesome Myth, Dawesome Novum, Kilohearts Phase Plant, and AAS Chromaphone 3 with all original sound design. You will want to listen this one with headphones for the best experience.

Cool, I just bought Morph 3 Pro as it's currently on sale, and I happen to already own SF OA Chamber Evos (great string sounds!). I'll have to play around with this idea - it would be cool to experiment also with other textures with the strings, such as crackling fire, wind through trees/leaves, insects like cicadas, perhaps even TV static... so much to play around with lol ;) Thanks for the example vid!
As an owner of Morph 2 what do you think are the most noticeable changes in 3?

Can I ask I have Cube / Beam but when I run them together in Bitwig they both plugins crash out on the GUI does not work correctly on both plugins, as you have the same setup can you test to see if you are getting the same problem and reply to this message and let me know. I run Cube first then Beam. Thanks for your help. Also when I run them on different tracks and not together they both work perfectly.

Just subbed to your channel interesting stuff I really like Dawesome plugins and was really looking forward to the release of this as I have been watching it since last November but I have to say I think I will see what updates they give it as its just not as good as I was hoping. Brilliant demo by the way.
Thanks for the compliment! I really took to Myth. I personally like the rawness of the Iris oscillators that I can then mold into something new and interesting. The modal and resonator effects are fantastic and not talked about much. Dragging samples into them is when I start to get some really cool results.

Incredible sounds! Does this work in real time? Could you play through it live?
Never used it in live performance. Only in the studio. It adds quite a bit of latency and it's quite heavy on the CPU. But it does have low latency algorithms. Give the demo a try and see if it works for you!

Cool alternative use! Are the IRs (like drumsticks) your own sounds or do they come with Beam? Love the idea of recording unusual audio to use as IRs!
Those drumstick sounds were from some random sample pack. It's fun to throw random samples into a convolution reverb and see what you get!
