VTR leasing 216 for a while, 7324 is down because of a broken spring and something else. 318 is back but i think it will be on the Groveton branch for a while and 216 is being use in the North Stratford.
Looks like 216 is up past its bedtime. Glad to see these lines active again! I’ve always wondered if those lines in Jefferson would be used again.

Wow you learn something new every day,,, I thought that locomotive was a sd7 sd9 or gp9 I never knew there was such thing as gp35 high hood ,,,, where thee heck did they thing up ,,, maybe former SPee loco ????
@@alfredbaroni2133 A little searching finds CSRX 216 was built for Norfolk & Western. They along with Southern Railway ordered their diesel locomotives with high short hoods much longer that most others, with the control stands set up to operate with the long hood as the front.
I'm surprised that they don't have someone protecting the crossing as the engine goes through
The section of line that is out of service from Whitefield n.h. to st. Johnsbury v.t.; is that the line that Vermont rail is putting back into service?
That's what the rumor is, but good luck with CSX still owning from St. Johnsbury to Gilman.
I thought that o\s segment was owned by the state? Maybe the doge comitee will make a law that forces class 1 railroads to sell or fork over seldom used or un used rail lines to class 2 and 3 railroads. That would be a good supply chain solution, and better for freight railroading as a whole.

More freight trains= less taxes; more passenger trains= higher taxes. Freight railroading makes $$$ so tax money is not needed to maintain the track, highways/ roads are funded by tax dollars and the more trucks u have on the roads, the more often you will need tax dollars to fix them. And for those who still believe global warming is caused solely from greenhouse gases, for every 4 gallons of fuel a truck burns, a freight train will burn roughly 1 gallon. That ratio also equates to less heat being expelled into the atmosphere.
