Helms Deep Evil Rework | Save the Uruks, Sacrifice Wargs
This is the reworked Helms Deep for the evil faction. Personally I like it a lot despite Legolas being able to be crashed right off the bat und Saruman failing to hit the bombs when there are other enemies around the bomb.

In this video I wanted to share how relatively easy it is to beat the Black Gate on the hardest patch without the help of the "beat'em all up-heroes" from the Gondor faction. Glorious Charge is more than enough to beat this mission, even when a meeting between riders and Mumaks can turn into a major fuckup... One of the hardest early missions for some ppl on the new patch. Wanted to share my idea on how this can be done without losing the wall even with some major messups :D. I am sure there are many other possibilities this is the one I am the most comfortable with.
Bit of a boring way to play that level. Distract and mods
So basically just kill the catapults before they arrive and you’ll survive everything?
the best playthrough for me is winning this mission without using any elves
To be hones these orcs' attacks are awful. Anyway, good game to you.

I'm on patch 2.22 and my Eomer doesn't have that heroic charge ability. Anyone know whats up with that? Just checked and updated to latest version of the patch and Eomer still has no glorious charge. I think you might be playing an extra modded version, Ukki.

your strategy is very solid. I used to it to beat without losing wall or gate.
Well done. But this is not hard. Just played that and there a way more units. And the damage from enemy is times 2 at least.
It is. Please don't lie about that. If they vhanged waves on the newest version that i don't know. It was hard at the time of recording. Or you played a mod.
@@ukki7664 I have been paying the on the cracked version and I can say this battle looked really good and I tried to emulate your strategy. It works, but I think the other dude is right, towards the end I had THOUSANDS, and I’m not even kidding THOUSANDS of orcs that completely ripped through my archers and cavalry. I survived up to the point of reinforcements, and once they finally showed up, within 30 seconds my entire army was destroyed. I think it has to be a game issue
@@ukki7664 Its still easier than the Elven Alliance mod's iteration, same for Minas Tirith. That being said. 2.22 has a smoother difficulty slope across both campaigns. They go from slightly harder to much harder than vanilla missions as the campaigns progress as opposed to Elven Alliance which has a few very hard missions amongst many trivial missions.

Not only the waves keep coming and have catapults you can't afford to lose any camps and you can't build which are very importantt

So gamey, no way a single dwarf could just run out and tank an entire army while running back and forth the entire width of the wall.
I loved this game so much, I still have the cds for it except i'm missing the play disk. I would love to be able to play it again, does anyone know where you can play it outside of paying an outrageous amount on ebay?

Patch 2.22 doesn’t work. It broke my game and I had to reinstall the whole game again. It’s not even a patch. It’s a Launcher, a game launcher. Not a patch for the game

Brilliant Those early horse sweeps and Gimili keeping those ladders away worked amazing I can’t believe I didn’t even think about using the Theoden charge with the arriving units. Good stuff

I found it easier to defend the gate and let them blow up the wall and stack everyone next to a statue. The Ai would just charge through the choke point and die. You just need to send Legolas up the wall to kill ladders since he 3 shots them.
As that may be if you look at the title the whole point of it was to hold it :D
What screw me up is the invulnerable orc bug. They never fixed that bug on dam orc killing your entire army.
Nice game! I've been trying to pass this mission for a week already. Only play with elves, cannot stand orc attack, middle hardness level
