Nice video, good to see a bargin. There were a couple of wagons you said that on the bottom it said Made In England that they were Lima. Lima model railways are from Italy (now owned by Hornby), but those wagons are Tri-ang mot Lima 🙂. Also Mainline was made by Palitoy.

What a fantastic layout you are making, keep up the good work. You might want to invest in some UV film for the window so sunlight doesnt bleach the colour out of your models and scenery.

Your layout is looking absolutely fantastic!

Overall, it is looking nice to have the extended running lines. As far as the gap... I agree with below, you either shorten a straight on the outer line or go with some flexitrack on the inner lines.

Hi. Maybe by reducing the length of the straight track just before the curved point would bring the outer track closer to the inner making the gap in-between smaller.
