Platpuses are such beautiful creatures. It must be amazing to see one up close. I hope I can go to Australia some day and she one! (I live in the US).I'd love to be able to see a platypus live & up close! I think I would be able to bond with them too because I'm unique and unusual just like platypuses! Such fasinating little creatures;) I really like Perry the Platypus from the cartoon Phineas & Ferb it got me interested in platypuses and has raised alot of platypus awareness!

I'd be happy to go platypus spotting with you if you do make it over here. :-) We see them here on the Atherton Tablelands quite often, although it took years of 'getting to know' platypus where I was living , for them to trust me enough to get the type of footage I got of them. It's very rare to see them up here, doing anything other that sitting on the surface for a minute, then disappearing again. I've heard Vic and Tasmania, you can see them doing more. :-)
