I use Claude most of the time, it gets what I am trying to program 8/10 times with no errors when it comes to a simple python script, while chatgpt 4o seems to work maybe less than half the time.

How boring - these games are 100% included in the training material. How about a real programming challenge, like a refactoring within a realistic code base?

To be honest, I'm surprised that GPT4o could even do this in one shot. I expected that if any AI could this at all, than it'd be Claude Sonnet. But I just tested was GPT4o created for me and it indeed worked, though it was super fast even though I did not run this on gaming PC. I also got an exception caused by sys.exit() in the end. LLama 3 most likely can't do this because of its tiny context that is only 8k. Have you tried Llama 3.1? Also I'd be interessting to see if one of the Devin variants could do this with open source models only.

The recognition that it has been tested is an impressive case. But it might also be an emergent ability that it implicitly learned and need for other tasks and based on the training data. So I wouldn't call that self aware. Diffusion models or models like Sora for example never learned what 3D space is or how physics work. But they implicity got an understanding of that, just by observing training data. So they can create 3D images or simulate fluids and gravity as sora seems to be able to do pretty well already. Nevertheless some behaviours of AI are a bit magical and spooky.

Good Video... Also: Mac has had the advanced voice "Alex" for nearly 20 years... not sure why this seems so new to so many. Many of the free voices today are over 20 years old funded by ATT Natural Voices for automated customer service messages... especially the female British voice which existed in the late 90s for Devs to test. They were hardly altered up to now... the tech is not remotely new... and so many companies are trying to charge money for it on the back of the absurd "AI HYPE" ;)
