Yamaha XVS1100 DragStar - inspecting bent front disc brake rotors - WeekendBikeRepair
I had a major pulsation on a brake lever while braking. It would correlate to the speed. Inspecting the brake disc runout here and concluding they were bent.
Ordered replacement from Metal Gear: metalgear.com.au/mgear-brake-disc-front-leftright-p-5199.html
Australia: www.metalgear.com.au
Germany: www.metalgear-shop.de
144,95 EUR a piece + brake pads.
Appreciate the comments with any idea on what bends the disc brakes (apart from an impact or similar). I have a suspicion that they are bent since after I had around 5000 km on the bike. I heart that uneven drag during the wheel spin sometimes.

Nice video, but always clean bolts with CRC brakecleen, the whole idea of loctite is to go on clean dry surfaces, with wd40 u are defeating the purpose by oiling bolts, of remaining tight and in place

That's a good video, but the resolution of the video is really blurry. It would've been an excellent if it was HD. (For seeing more clearly) Thank you for making it, though.

Hello. I'm also waiting for the replacement of the starter clutch. I watched your videos, and you would send me the pdf or jpeg of the manual you showed in the movie. Greetings from Poland.

I love the video! Was nervous about the whole job, but after watching three times I am ready to tackle this. I missed the whole summer riding after buying the kit and placing it on the shelf. Here goes nothing...

Next time Simply Explain how you made the tool and show the actual procedure as this loses focus and I am trying to understand how much torque is needed to pull the basket - There is a bike for sale near me and the seller damaged the crank end with the wrong puller so I am gathering as much information as I can before I bid on it or if I bid on it

+Bruce Bosco Hopefully, there won't be next time for me to fix it again :) Well, torque spec for the rotor nut is 175 Nm, if I remember correctly. It requires a bit of heft in the hand. It's important that the puller is not skewed. Hitting the puller with a hammer also helps. I didn't, but I've seen other guys doing that.
