Blazar Cato 2X Anamorphic lens test
This was a quick down and dirty lens test of the new Blazar Cato 2X FF Anamorphic lenses. The 40mm was not tested because it hasn't shipped at this time.

GoPro 3+ Black vs. GoPro 4 Black night test

This was a quick and dirty camera test between the GoPro Hero 3 Black and the new GoPro Hero 4 Black. There is a shift of color temps between the two, but until further testing (and pending investigation) we are not sure if a setting was missed.

Nice comparison. What settings did you use for the 3+? I have one and all I get are grainy shots at the smallest hint of shade like in interior places. Which is why I only use it during the day and outdoors only
You use 24fps, is this better for night video?

Great rendering..
According to GoPro, the new Hero 4 Black/Silver is supposed to have better low light capabilities. Other data that I've read suggest that the improvements to low light performance is for stills and for time lapse, and unchanged for video from the Hero 3+. Please take this test with a grain of salt. It was done very quickly and with the new GoPro menu, we think we might have missed a matched setting which might explain the difference in color. Then again, it could be the difference between the two sensors.
What would you conclude ? Is the 4 better than the 3 ?
