I just received (one hour ago) my first Pilot Parallel and was looking for an unboxing video. Thanks from the future...it's so helpful to get someone's hands-on honest experience. This is the pen I have been looking for. I've got a feeling I need to make room for one or two more. ;) A lot of the internet sure is silly stuff but aren't we fortunate that technology has enabled us to bring teachers from everywhere, even the past, to teach us. To me, that's the best part of it.

Warum und für was haben manche Konverter eine kleine Spiralfeder im Konverter-Tintentank? Ist es um die Oberflächenspannung im Konvertertinte zu reduzieren? Manchmal gibt es richtige einzelne Tintenringe innerhalb des Konverters - warum? Erklär das doch mal!

Great guide! However, my mom accidentally scared me while I was closing the ink holder so now it’s everywhere on my desk, my notebook and of course the book I am currently reading 😅

Hi Robyn, nice video. However, what works the best, especially if the pen hasn´t been used for awhile, is really to remove the nib, feeder and the guide-rail thing, and clean all the parts. I do this every time I refill the converter, and it doesn´t take that long either.

Having just purchased a couple of Lamy pens for my children's' Christmas presents this video has answered all my questions , thank you.

May I ask where you get your tombow brush markers from? 🙂 I’ve bought the monte mart dual brushes but they fray very quickly. Also, what paper would be best to use for brush lettering?

Good video, thanks! I was confused because I thought you had to hood the body of the pen in your hand at a 45 degree angle. But the nib at 45 degree makes so much more sense.

I love my Lamy Safari because it's a great fountain pen and because it's made in Heidelberg Germany! (Just like me) I purchased a Lamy pen because I thought it would help me with my cursive writing, something I got away from doing but now I'm getting back into it. Wish me Luck.

Is there a way to switch between ink cartridges or you need to wait until one runs out to use the other?

I've seen a lot of my son's friends (primary schoolers in Joburg) who start forming the letters at the complete wrong place. That was with print letters already.
