Thanks for the question. It all comes down to the time when styling. Instead of styling wet hair, I style my hair nearly dry. It takes my hair about 6 hours or more to get to that point( I air dry my hair in braids or twists ) or just overnight. In that case, even when I go to sleep, my style remains full.

@@jemimahalltheway1404 dearest, please start the video. Some of us will be engaged. I even subscribed even though the channel is not big because for me it's the substance and clarity. There are a lot of african hairstyling videos that are equally good but what I found unique about your channel is how you use so little (just your hand and a comb and some pomade to just style) You don't do too much, no exaggeration, but come up with amazing styles that are unique; to me that's phenomenal. Some channels use so much hair products that you sometimes realise without them you can't achieve their result. I resonate more with you. And lastly, you capture (camera works) your stylings so well. I see everything you do clearly; the back is clear, the parting and hand movement techniques are clear. I don't struggle to follow the process, I see every single thing. For some channels you can't even see their back result when styling except they finish so how do I know what it should be. Then I said no, this is what I need. Your channel is all I need to take care of my hair and I know you can help me with elegant styles in a less sophisticated way yet glamorous. Keep posting I love it. And you are brilliant. And no I am not flattering you. I am sure in good time the You tube algorithm will favour you. I just found you though.

Thanks for the question. The longest I have kept twists in my hair is 4 weeks but they hadn't started locking. Probably my hair would start locking if I kept the twists in longer than that. While in, I hydrate, oil and apply cream twice a week and extra for my ends. The oil helps my hair not lock. In conclusion, my twists take a while to start locking. I will share my detangling process in a few weeks as I take down my current loose twists. Please be patient.

I hope so too, you could put a bun( made from socks or bought from the store) in the middle and tuck the twists in that bun. I think that can help. Do let me know how it goes

Thank you 🙏🏿. It took me about 4 hours and that's because I was doing them loose. I also pre-sectioned my hair making it further easier and less tiring.

And what do you do to make sure the ends do not unravel again?

@@victoriamensah2938 i roll the ends around the twist I have made. It's not quite easy to explain but you can see it as I finish twisting the twist. Hahaha
