​@@jamesbeadle93 Great video, but let’s not get carried away. This isn't about this video specifically but the trend on YT. Wisdom isn't wisdom if everyone's saying it. Wisdom is novel. There's an abundance of advice just like this “wisdom” out there, and these creators did something commendable-getting out and talking to people. What's genuinely novel here? The lack of novely only leaves one motivation: its all about getting watchers in *their* marketing funnel and attract clicks via big names like Iman, Thurston and so on. They’re playing the game and quite rightly so, I commend them, but viewers risk getting stuck in a normie herd mentality. I don't know about you but I don't want to build my future on 120 IQ advice that everyone knows in 2024. For every tip on some tertiary area like product development, marketing and whatnot, there’s a contradictory one.But much of this advice cancels out or is just recycled. I'll tell you what does not cancel out to 0 - the fundamentals. Success boils down to universal principles: persistence, adaptability and trial and error, and health. But here's the kick, this is stuff we’ve known since the Renaissance and *middle school*. I want to see less TH-cam videos and more communities getting people's brains in alpha states not beta states taking in content perpetuating their inaction. For context: I’m not perfect at all and made big mistakes but I made mid-late 7 figures, early 30s, grew up low-income, and launched businesses and trading algorithms 20 years ago at school when you could not learn this stuff on YT. There were no good books on any of this stuff. One of the reasons I got to that level is I pursued the novel. Doing stuff that's undervalued and underrestimated. But I definitely made mistakes and easily should be at 9 or 10 figures now in the range of median outcomes. So I'm not perfect. I am friends with and work with billionaires, and my work has positively impacted thousands even leading to new babies being born. That's success for me. But I am not done. Crazy success doesn’t come from watching normie advice-it comes from originality.
