I watched Shetland and Vera and enjoyed them both. I started watching A Good Girls Guide To Murder and I'm liking it so far. I haven't read the book.

I read the Stephen King book and was very surprised how much I enjoyed it. The last book I tried to read by him was The Firestarter - too much. I had bad dreams. Too impressionable in younger years. I also read James, and it was so good. The author's perspective was eye opening. Loved the ending. I tried to read Murder Road by Simone St. James but could not finish it. I felt the two main characters lacked enough emotion to keep me reading. I have been reading a lot these days. That happens when you're old LOL

I'm currently reading Huckleberry Finn and Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak . I'm listening to Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James on audio.

There was a Great Harvest Bread Co where I lived in Ohio. Went there quite often and their bread was amazing. The candy store is awesome. I laughed when you picked up the Wiley Wallaby licorice. I put the red and black in my sons stocking at Christmas. My husband rode motorcycle for years. I worried every time he went out. Never saw a drone like that. Very cool. I read Wicked a long time ago. It's not your average fairy tale. Also have the Jigsaw puzzle. I have several other books by Gregory Mcquire.

We love visiting MN Largest Candy store. Did you know it’s going to be rebuilt about a mile down the road and be even bigger?!

Your yard always looks so pretty. I haven't heard of The Mad Women's Ball book or movie. Nice finds from the little free library. The only one near me only holds children's books and it's not in very good shape.

I've read Sundown Motel and thought it was a quick read. I also have Broken Girls by Simone St. James but haven't read it yet. I liked The Nightingale more than The Women. The Nightingale is one of my all time favorites.

Interesting FYI: McFadden is #1 and #5 on Goodreads most read this week. Abby Jimenez Just for the summer is #3 (I liked this book!!!)

I just read The Slow Moon by Elizabeth Cox and it was so easy to feel what the characters were feeling and see the surroundings without it getting boring. the words just draw you into the story. It's about rape so but also about love. It does not have gory details, it's beautifully written.

Nice update. I'm going to see if I can find Nobody's Angel somewhere. If it takes place in Chicago I need it. Would it be better to read Huckleberry Finn before James? My favorite this year so far is The Frozen River. I'm reading Mad Honey. I'm listening to The Women but it's taking me a while. Not because it's bad, but because I lived through that time and I just have to keep taking breaks. A lot of the guys I went to high school with went to Viet Nam.

I am not so sure about Freida’s books anymore. First Freida book I read was The Coworker and I DNF it. I recently finished The Teacher. It was ok, I gave it 3.5 🌟.

I've been thinking of getting The Housemaid, but never did. I think I'll pass for now. I'm currently reading Mad Honey by Jodi Picolut but not very far in. I also started the Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. Your lilies are so pretty. Love farmers markets.

You mentioned Minnesota. There is a news caster/new author from there named Lou Raguse. He wrote a book about my 2 girlfriends that disappeared in 1971 and i was suppose to go with them. The investigation had so many twists and turns.The book is Vanished In Vermillion.

Julie, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I went through that several years ago with my husband. You have so many little free libraries near you. They're so nice. There aren't any near me. I read Quitters Inc. and like it. I guess I need to give in and get You Like It Darker. The bunnies were so cute and the birds were beautiful. Happy Anniversary, your tray looked amazing. Totally love your cup. I love anything London. I even have a London trash can. LOL

I got a nice deal on The Life of Sam Hell from Amazon. I wasn't a fan of Big Little Lies. I'm glad you're enjoying The Sundown Motel. I loved the TV series Shetland and also Vera Stanhope, You are an enabler. I had to get Apple TV because there are several programs I want to watch. I'm currently watching Dark Matter. I read the book quite a while ago. I really enjoyed Wrexham and The Bear. I'm from Chicago, so I'm kind of partial to any program taking place there. I think my favorite books this year are The Frozen River and Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult.

My daughter gave me Braiding Sweetgrass for Christmas two years ago….havent read it yet but need to! I’m currently reading the 5th book of six in the Cormorant Strick series! I’m loving it. The author is JKRowling using a pseudonym of Robert Galbraith. Very good series!

I'm also a sucker for a nice pen. LOL. Your bread looked delicious. I often wanted to try baking bread, but I'm a big chicken. That one little chipmunk was really taking advantage of all those peanuts that he didn't have to work for. Sorry, but I laughed out loud at the deer. They were very bold and not easily discouraged. Absolutely love the ducklings. My family use to go camping. We did the tent thing once, and then decided to get a camper instead. I miss doing that. There's nothing like breakfast cooked over a campfire. I'm currently reading 1984 and it's taking me a while. Having a bit of a hard time getting through it. Also listening to Jackdaws by Ken Follett.

May was a good month for me - read two five star books: A Gentleman in Moscow and Trust. Loved them both. Another really good book I read was Fervor by Toby Lloyd. Never heard of him before, but will definitely be on the lookout for his work. Just curious, did you read Anxious People by Fredrik Blackman? I know everyone loves it, but maybe I just wasn’t in the mood. I’ll try another time.

I was able to get the audio of Braiding Sweetgrass for free on Audible. I'm collecting the graphic novels of Locke and Key. I watched the TV series and it is more family friendly than the books. I've read The Sundown Motel and thought it was really good. Creepy. I've seen Orphan Black so I'll have to check out Monday. I love the journalist in Bodkin. She's very sassy. I've also been watching Wrexham. It seem we're watching some of the same programs lately. I'm always looking for something new. Will you be showing how you fix your brussel sprouts on your cooking channel?

Really enjoy the scenery and listening to the birds. I'm reading 1984 on my Kindle. I'm listening to the audio of The Women by Kristin Hannah and really enjoying it.

I read Lightning Strike by William Kent Krueger (WKK). It is a prequel to the Cork O’Connor series. Reading Iron Lake by WKK to start the series.

I've read nine books since May 1 adding up to 3,455 pages and the month is not over yet! The Frozen River was one that I really enjoyed. I just finished The Evolution of Annabel Craig, first time with this author. I am now starting Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth. I'm getting a little worried since I am starting to case the book rack in Dollar General when I stop in for milk!

That is really the sweetest thing your book club did for you! I read The Midnight Library on audio. 5 stars. Perfect on audio with the British accent. And finished The Frozen River in book form.
