Welcome to the JBENHIKES TH-cam Channel. This channel is mainly about hiking, long-distance hiking, backpacking, camping, & gear. However, I will occasionally feature some fun wholesome family videos of my family’s fun outings or event - which is titled “Our Family Matters.”

IS SOMETHING BROKEN INSIDE OF YOU – ARE YOU SINKING?
There is a good chance you can’t explain it, but is there this feeling of something that is broken inside you? You feel as if something is missing and/or you’re alone. You’ve tried to fill it with the things of this world, but that has left you unsatisfied.
You are not alone and if you can’t take the troubles of this world and/or the weight of your own sin pressing in on your heart, Jesus said, - “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).
This doesn’t mean you’ll have a life of ease and all of your problems will magically go away, but you’ll not be alone in the storm of life. You’ll have a new life of meaning and a new understanding of joy that is only found in Christ Jesus. Whatever circumstances you find yourself in, you are secure eternally with Christ. The brokenness inside can start healing by Jesus, that unsatisfied and missing feeling can be satisfied with the Lord Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3: 16-21)
THE QUESTION REMAINS - "ARE... YOU... SINKING... ?"
You are not alone and don’t have to sink… Seek the Lord Jesus Christ and discover Him.
I want to conclude with borrowing words from the late Reverend Billy Graham.
Most people at least know his name, but he was the modern world’s greatest Christian evangelist and at all of his services, his concluding words were simple and effective. The call was to the belief in Jesus Christ with repentance and commitment for follow the Savior of the world.
“"It's not too late. ... You have a moment before God that may never come again."
I'm going to ask you to come and say `yes' to Christ. You don't understand it all, or have to. You just say, `Lord ... I acknowledge that I have sinned. I believe that Jesus is the only way.' "
If you have made that commitment and meant it with all sincerity, you are now sealed with the Holy Spirit of God and have obtained eternal life.

19+ miles is a very respectable day. Great job. Campsite was nice, i know its hard to find good spots in mountainous areas. Dayum, wash them little piggies dude! 🤣 Hope tomorrow goes as well as the rest of the hike.

Yeah, the water was the real challenge on that day! But…we survived!
All that water adds some weight, but like you said, you can't hike if you're dehydrated. Beautiful views.

This trail definitely has its own 'personality'. Its got a little of the Highline to it, mixed with some higher peaks like i've seen in the Sierra Nevada. Very cool indeed. You've inspired me, might have to put it on my bucket list. ⛰
@@BeaglesBackcountryAdventures oh yeah... the CT is a nice trail. I liked the UHT more, but the CT is pretty awesome.
Jeff, you have a knack for those cool, well-framed shots. This was an absolutely epic hike! Were there many thru-hikers that time of year? I know its a popular trail in the summer. Dang, Crow's pack is pretty.. uhm.. colorful. Looking forward to the rest of the adventure.
@BeaglesBackcountryAdventures we saw a few thru-hikers. We also saw section-hikers like us (teachers on their summer break) and bike-packers. The trail is well used in the summer, with the temps being not too hot during the day and cool nights. Thanks for the compliment! I try, but always find myself reminiscing back to views that I missed (when editing).

Great hike. That was a nice pass and a great camping spot. Camping at 11,400ft can't beat that.
@@cachemacstrailtime I’m glad we stopped at that campsite, the rest down the trail where we would have stopped wasn’t that great. We won that evening with that campsite. High elevation camping is awesome !

What a fun start. I tried to get my kids to go with me last year, but they had too many plans already. I was looking at a loop to the eastern side though. Looking forward to the rest of your hike.

It was a good trip out to Colorado, my first during warm weather. I’ve always been to go skiing in the winter. Crow did a great job, as always, with his videos. Like I’ve said before, I just tag along with Crow and ride his shooting TH-cam stardom ! 😆 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Beautiful views! The weather out there is always a little crazy. We left our cousin's cabin in Mountain Home, Wyoming one morning and it was 82 degrees. We drove 40 minutes through the mountain and a hailstorm hit us. Dropped 4 inches of hail on the ground and dropped the temp to 43 degrees. It was crazy. We were all wearing short and t-shirts!
It is absolutely crazy…. The mountains, at that height, creates its own weather of sort.
