Hi, bro; thanks for your comments. a) as for the copyright issue, 1) I follow the instructions in those videos that teach how to make movie recaps without copyright issues shown on TH-cam. However, I still met copyright issues when following these instructions, then I did the following: 2) Currently, I use freeze images when editing recap videos. As for the amount of freeze images, I usually use 12--17 images for a 10-15-minute recap. Specifically, I will put 5 freeze images every about 2.5 -3.5 minutes length. Each freeze image's second length doesn't matter. It is based on your requirements. It can be longer than 7 seconds or shorter than 2 seconds. The freeze image length depends on the visual effect requirement, but the input images should be watched naturally and smoothly after giving animation or using a keyframe. 3) Currently, to ensure the first time passes copyright issue checking, I also cut the movie clips 2- 3 seconds, then take the next relevant clips after moving a related gap along the movie clips to avoid using movie clips continuously longer. This may not be allowed by TH-cam's fair use. 4) I also sometimes use a mirror, color adjustment, and others if I can't pass the copyright check the first time. b) As for Monetization: First, I think the movie recap channel can be monetized based on those big recap channels. However: I haven't reached the monetization qualification yet, so I can't give you relevant advice in this respect. But based on my hearing from and discussion with others, I think one of the most important elements is that TH-cam officials should consider the videos made original. Otherwise, after reaching the monetization threshold, it is still possible that TH-cam may refuse to pay money if they think you are plagiarizing. In addition, Bro. Yes, It is really difficult to make a good and captivating thumbnail. Regarding movie recaps, I usually do the following to make a thumbnail, but sometimes, the thumbnails produced don't work well. 1) On TH-cam, search for the same movie recap, find those big channels with many viewers of the same movie recap, and copy the thumbnail of these. Then: a) Use Canva to make some modifications so that they are different from the original; otherwise, the TH-cam Algorithm will resist you. b) Use ChatGpt 4, upload the copied image, and let ChatGpt create a similar image (telling ChatGpt to make 1280 pixels long and 720 pixels wide in resolution). After many trials and tests, you may get a good thumbnail. 2) Search for movie trailer images on Google Search to find an appropriate image. Then, you can modify it with Canva and ChatGPT or directly use it if no other movie recap has ever used it. So, I basically make thumbnails using these methods. But I still find making thumbnails difficult work. I have to do many design trials (usually with ChatGPT4 to get an idea) to find a satisfactory final.

There are several ways to get the movie script: 1) If you are English native speaker, then you can watch the movie and write the script by yourself. Benefit: the script is accurate and after movie watching, you can edit your recap easily. Disadvantage: it may be slow and takes your longer time. in addition, you are not sure which places you should use, and which plots you should avoid. 2) Use ChatGPT to help you write the script. Benefit: It is quick. Disadvantage: ChatGPT sometimes give wrong movie narration regarding movie plot and events. In addition, the narrative given by ChatGPT often is lack of details. For example, chatGPT will not write someone punching someone in the movie, or someone aiming someone with the sniper etc. so ChatGPT can't give details description, just a general summary. At the same time, when you let ChatGPT give you narrative, normally it give you a short one, and you have to re-expand them part by part to get your required length. 3) On IMDb website to get synopsis, then via rephrase and expanding with the help of ChatGPT to get your own synopsis and script for your movie. Again, you have you check its correctness. 4) Make use of the narrative or script of those big movie recap channel. You can extract the script of those recap videos of those big movie explanation channels. Use them as the basis, via rephrase and re-write to get your own required script or synopsis. The most important, your synopsis can't be same as others, you must use various ways to adjust those synopsis or script you get from other persons' writing to avoid repetition and copyright issues. At present, I use different ways to get my videos' script in accordance with different situations. Wish these ways can give your some enlightenment and be helpful to you. He comments in one of my videos showing that one of his friends also does movie explanation, but can't be monetized. I also got info via inquiry from viewers in other movie recap channels that only simple telling what happens in the video about a movie is not a fair use and so could not be monetized. So, I worry that my videos are considered being simple story-telling, so I intentionally give more review in the video. This is not very high. The click-through rate of this video up to now is just 5%. The highest click-through rate in one of my videos is 11%, which doesn't have a higher viewer. The average click-through rate in these videos should be 7%. The impression of this video up to now is just 25.7K, not very high, right? How about yours?

The reason I add a longer intro (as well as a longer conclusion) is because I heard one of viewers said one of his friends also made movie recap video channel; but finally, TH-cam didn't monetize his videos. I inquired in some channel about the issue and get some responses. So, I worry that TH-cam also considers my videos are just simple story-telling and not transformative contents, and finally I also can't get monetization. So, I add a longer intro by putting some more reviews in the intro in order to make my video shown as more transformative. However, maybe my worry is not correct as another viewer's response in another channel said: this type of recap video is considered as transformative content; at sam time, a viewer of the video commented that my intro is too long and I should quickly go into the plot and recap after a brief intro. So, in the following videos, I will just give a brief intro and conclusion. however, thanks for you comment sharing.
