Greetings Peeps! Just me and my eeeB adventures and the Honda C90 ⚡😁⚡🛵👌🛵👍
I'm Andy, a well rounded down to earth 60 year old Northern bloke from Lancashire living in Herefordshire and loving my eMTB adventures on my Orbea Wild FS M10 and Rise H15. With Wales on your doorstep, it would be rude not to! And now, adventures on my Honda C90 😜😁👌👍

Andy I've just got back off holiday and you know what, BLOODY BRILLIANT EFFORT MATE, I doff my cap well done. You should take the CUB
Thanks Lee. Lets get yup there, bring yer one wheeler too 😂👍
Very helpful! Thanks 👍🏻
They charged me for 4boxes when I only ordered one. I immediately emailed them to cancel and they refused. What a bunch of thieves.
We live and learn...... 😠😔
Do I detect you have swapped the heel/toe gear-lever for a standard foot change? Our big western feet and big boots make pressing the heel down almost impossible. I usually find myself looking down to find down change with my toes. Standard pedal seems very sensible. I would appreciate your thoughts
@@wheelssleaford268 Correct, I didn't want the original rocker lever for the 1 down 4 up Lifan and the gear lever which came with the engine was designed for people with tiny feet so I got a better lever off Amazone. Here's the link but I did have to heat it up and bend it out slightly to give a bit more clearance for my size 12s 👍 www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09JGVPXHL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Every biker of a certain generation has probably had or ridden one of these, they are indeed a very trusty steed ❤
@@Skyfloats72 First bike I ever rode way back in the 70s 👌👍😁
Would the honda gear change pedal not fit?
Yes, it fitted but the Lifan is 1 down 4 up and didn't want a 'rocker' style gear lever.
Excellent, plain speaking demonstration with an explanation. Is the Cub 50 the same engine mounting.
Hi, thanks for that and glad it was undertandabubble 👍 Not sure about the Cud 50 engine but I will stick my neck out and say yes, it will fit as its basically the same just a bigger piston -= I THINK! Check that 🤞
My mate Dave passed this too me...brill video...great fun!
I'm glad you like sire and yes, ace fun which is to be continued...... When it's Feckin dry!! Thanks to your mate gor passing it on, feel free to share the love ☺️👍
Ive tried multiple cables capable ofnfast charging amd they dont work
@@BuleIndoRoads Oh, have you tried the cables mentioned in the video?
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer Not the same branded ones as that's not always possible depending on location but I have high quality, high output cables and they didn't do anything. What worked for me is using GoPro labs, I just did it now and I can now use any cables. It's strange that even from the mains the GoPro wouldn't run, definitely not a cable issue in general. It's looks to be something done deliberately so GoPro can sell more Voltas. But yeah, for anyone where the cable change didn't work it's worth recommending GoPro labs
Reminds me of a regular trip up and down the A1 on my C90, back in the 1980s.
Great video. I'm going to Crickadarn next month. How do you get from the location they are dropped off to the part David and Jack are walking and talking as that's confused me? Thank you.
OK, hope this makes sense: If you stand at the point where they were dropped off and look at the hill you see in the background (Hay Bluff), the pickup would have travelled from your right as you look at Hay Bluff, travelling from Gospel Pass to drop them off at the junction. Where you then see them walking and talking AFTER being dropped off is just past Gospel Pass heading TOWARDS where they were dropped off. Its all back to front but I guess it made for a better shot? Did that make sense?
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer brilliant. It does make sense. Thank you very much
These last few vids have been great , hope there’s more planned 😊
Thanks very much ☺️ There is lots of stuff planned, just need the time to do it all 😩
back in the early seventies , a stripped and modified c 90 was a great field bike ...
Bombproof bits of kit, the do it all motorcycle 💪👌👍😁 It was the first bike I ever rode as a kid in the 70s, roaring round the footy field not knowing what the hell I was doing 😂
Awesome fun, I’ve been paddling around Hackpen Hill on my CT125 of late, may give those Byways a go next year, thanks for filming it.
@@Bikervation You're welcome. So many route options down there but definitely best saved for dry weather 👍
C90s and 70s are great bikes! Always get them going again! Bloody pricey these days!
@@WilliamLithgowGuitars Why would you want anything other than a Cub? Don't see the point in those big engined bikes, they're no way near as much fun 👍😁

Big cables and lots of then? 😬
Wow, I see what you mean about part 2. Glad you got it started. An excuse to go back next summer and do it again.
@@phill2383 Definitely, unfinished business for sure but only after some serious heat 😂
Tidy. Did you do a CBT or do you have a full fat bike licence? I've been meaning to to do my bike test for ages but never got round to it.
I've had a full licence since Ooooooo, 1983? I was an instructor in the army too 👨🏫🛵🏍😁
Doing your motorbike test is not as hard as you think it is. Get your full test so you can ride any bike, then you won't have to retest the CBT every 2 years. Get the training at your local bike trainers, pay them to take you to both parts. Part 1 then part 2. Will cost about £600 depending on where you are in the world. Money well spent and so much better understanding of traffic awareness, bike control taught on both parts.
@@photocoach5483 There seems to be more than one test though. Different levels of licence?
@@Bobario1 Yes. Restricted licence A1 or full licence, A2 1.CBT 2.Theory test (could take months to book this in) 3. Part 1 module 1 test 4. Part 2 module 2 test To get the A1 licence, you need a valid driving licence (provisional category A), a CBT certificate, a valid motorcycle theory pass certificate, and to pass the A1 assessment day. Upgrading to higher licence categories such as A2 or A licence is possible after turning 19 years old. Just do the A2 licence After you’ve passed your "theory" test you’ll also need to pass: Module 1 and 2 (So 4 tests in total, see above.) an off-road riding test going round cones, stopping etc (known as the ‘module 1 test’) an on-road riding test examiner follows you for about 35 minutes (known as the ‘module 2 test’) Its not clear even if you google it or ring up a bike training company. Just do it - and good luck.
I've just got my license to thrill, looking for something to tear me a new @rsehole.
Glad you got out of that predicament safely. You're certainly discovering the limits of the splendid Cub 😀
This nothing compared to what some people do on the MIGHTY Cub! But it was enough for me and mine 😁
Enjoyed watching and the brief history highlights and something id like to ride on my cub 👍🏻
There's more to come, stay tuned 👍
I think you created a new form of travel across that flood, Good on you for getting through. Wiltshire is Ace!

He would have be fine if he'd have chucked some Kenda K262s on 👌😁
You need to fit a bash plate, problem sorted. Good video.
Cheers 👍I need a CT110 Postie, not a bash plate 😁
that was our summer then, it was between 10:30 and 4ish :) lol
I think that’s called hard-core off roading. I don’t think a bigger bike would have made it and when you drop a heavy bike it’s not only likely to break your leg but despite what “experts “ tell you it’s damm hard lifting them back up. I reckon that Hondas a cracker. Thanks for the tyre review. Any chance of a few more comments regarding their grip on wet tarmac roads. Apologies for asking but I’ve had a nasty experience with a pair of Heidenau k67 which spat me off on a wet roundabout🤬
Hi, if I did a ride in the wet with the Kendas fitted, the review wouldn't be up to much as I'd be taking it easy due to them not being road tyres and it being wet. Having said that, if I was riding in the wet with the road tyres fitted I'd still be taking it easy. The next ride out I do with Justin will be a road ride so I'll be changing tyres for that one so stay tuned 👍
Look forward to it👍
Your films wwould be even better without the jazz 😁 sorry its all my old pops would listen to!
Great video pal, do you possibly have the route? Thanks
Got to admit Andy, you had me wince watching a c90 green laning. That front pivot link suspension is not even suitable for paved tarmac roads. Given the prices of c90s are getting stupid just get a trail bike.
It'll be fine, bomb proof little things. I'd like a CT like Justin so I can keep the Cub off road but until such time, it'll be gripped, sorted and off-roading 💪😁 Great fun though 👌
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer love the side baskets though.
Excellent fun with those fine Kenda tyres. Glad to see no comedy offs. Nice UK sticker....ready for trans-European Cub touring in the future 😎
Nnnnnnnnope! 😁 Small bikes are the future 👌 Yep, no comedy off's thankfully, phew 🤞
Couldn’t shoot me over the link for Lifan need one of those engines, Swindon I think you said on the video. What was the price of the engine if you don’t mind me asking. Cheers jon.
Your vids are great 👍. Nothing to serious just abit of fun happy days mate.
I got it from 7one racing in Swindon, make sure its the one with the clutch cover which allows you to use the original footoegs, it's got the recess in it like the Cub and has all the wires to plug directly into the existing loom. It's a doddle to do. Guys name is Blaine, tell him you got his details from me, a satisfied customer 👍
@@Johnnybegood-kh2ueCheers Jon, serious lightheartedness 👍😁
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer Thanks for a quick reply “ Any chance of the price “ got to hide it from the Mrs 😂
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer I’m only down the road from you Pontypool !!
Great video. You you offer your honest opinions regarding the new tyres on tarmac. I tried a cheaper brand on a bike few years ago and they were dreadful on wet tarmac. No one else has done a proper review of them so you will be trail blazing! Love the cub, I’ve an identical one and it’s my go to bike these days leaving its big stable mates in the garage
I was really impressed with the tyres, there were some pretty boggy sections and they coped really well, highly recommend and felt really good on the road to👌
Thanks. Good to hear you’re suggesting these are okay on wet tarmac 👍
@@wheelssleaford268 Didn't see any rain, dry all day. A wet review to come but when I do road rides, I'll be putting the road tyres back on. They felt great on dry roads 👍

Do not purchase from this company they are a rip off. They charged me twice @ two different different amounts. I have not received my order and I have contacted them twice by email and they will not reply back.
Great vid. Definitely worth a visit isn’t it?🎉
Cheers. For sure, definitely got to give it a go, it's great but nothing like the vids make it out to be but serious fun, just make sure your brakes are in top top working order 😂
