Tools Needed:
- Drill bits up to 1/2” or tapered drill bit up to 1/2”
- 10mm socket
- 13mm socket
- 4mm Allen key (or bit)
- 5 mm Allen key (or bit)
Hardware included:
- 6mm socket button head screw (16)
- 8mm socket button head screw (6)
- Black nylon spacers (4)
- 6mm nylon lock nuts (8)8mm nylon lock nuts (6)
- 6mm flat washers (24)
- 8mm flat washers (12)
- Rubber well nuts (4)
Instructions:
STEP 1
- Install the top brackets
- Using tape, mark the center of the rear wing, then measure 12” out from the center point on each side.
- Next, measure 13” out from the center point on each side. The mounting holes for the top brackets will be centered between your 12” and 13” marks.
- For Turbo models, measure 6.5” from the front of the factory wing. For Abarth models, measure 8" from the front of the factory wing. Where these marks meet is where your first bracket hole will be drilled.
- Using increasing drill bit sizes (or a tapered bit) drill out your first holes up to 1/2”. Do not drill the second holes yet.
- Insert the rubber well nuts, then secure the top brackets by threading the 6mm screws with washers into the well nuts. Do not over tighten.
- Do not drill out the second set of holes until after you have test fit the wing, to ensure the holes are in the right spot.
STEP 2
Install the lower bracket
- After removing your license plate, you will see 4 threaded holes. This is where the lower bracket mounts.
- Thread a 6mm screw with washer though your license plate and the lower bracket. The nylon spacers will go on the back side, between the bracket and the license plate mounts.
- With the spacers in place, tighten the 6mm bolts.
STEP 3
Assemble the wing
- The wing assembly is made of 3 parts: the risers, the upper mounts, and the wing (sold separately).
- Start by attaching the upper mounts to the wing using a 6mm screw, two washers, and a 6mm nylon lock nut.
- Next, attach the risers to the upper mounts. There are several holes to allow for adjustability. Again, these are secured with 6mm screws, washers, and 6mm nylon lock nuts.
STEP 4: Test fit the wing
- Take the assembled wing and place it onto the brackets on the car. There are 2 lower holes on each side of the bottom bracket, and one hole on each of the top brackets.
- Using 8mm screws, washers, and 8mm nylon lock nuts, attach the assembled wing to the lower bracket. Do not worry about tightening everything down just yet.
- Using 8mm screws, washers, and 8mm nylon lock nuts, attach the assembled wing to the top brackets.
- With the 8mm bolts hand-tight, mark the location for the second hole for the top brackets.
- Remove the assembled wing and top brackets, and drill out the second hole. Insert the rubber well nuts.
- Reinstall the top brackets, making sure not to over-tighten and damage the well nuts.
- Reinstall the assembled wing. Ensure all hardware is tightened.
