Just seeing this as a suggested video. I had no idea it was there. I went down for a visit in January 2020 just before the pandemic which was around the time when they were talking about the traffic in this video and the traffic was awful. The traffic woud back up from the front of Clayton to downtown Panama. People were cutting through Clayton to get to where they were going. Also the Bridge of Americas would get backed up three or four times a day like we used to see on the long weekends when everyone was driving up to the beach. People at the time in 2020 were cutting through neighborhoods like Balboa. They had to put speed bumps in Balboa to slow people down. The Roundabout thing near Napoli's was crazy thing to nudge a vehicle through because it was jammed up. Nudging seemed to be the way to get through most of the traffic down there at the time. In January of 2022, I went down again for a visit and I noticed on the way back from the airport to Diablo, I realized the traffic had much improved. I think it was after a lot of the Covid restrictions had been lifted and less people could have been driving in Panama. The traffic didn't seem so bad during my whole visit compared to 2020. One thing that Danny Reyes pointed out to me was they put a traffic cop at the intersection in front of the old Balboa Train Station during the rush hours. They would make the traffic lights blink and direct traffic on the main road to go until the traffic going up the admin hill was backed up pretty far. What was happening before was somebody driving down the admin hill would trigger the light causing the traffic on the main road to get backed. It seemed like the put traffic cops in many different instersections that were causing the back up issues. The few times Danny and I went to Napoli's during rush hour traffic, the round-a-bout was clear for us to use. The traffic was decent in 2022. It might be bad again but, I think whoever put those traffic cops at the right intersections was pretty brilliant. They don't have the computers in their traffic lights to program the light changing like they do in the States. If they did, it would help a lot but, putting a traffic cop there helps a lot too.

I am a 46 year old empty nester, educator of 12 years, and I am ready to relocate outside of the country. I am Afro-Latina( Boriqua). I am ready to experience peace and acceptance in a place where I can serve the community and enjoy life. Would I be able to find teaching or administrative work in the education sector? I am certified in K-8 all subjects, K-12 Special Education, and I have my second masters in educational leadership with certification. I would like to look into relocating in May of 2025 at the end of the upcoming school year. I do have property here and debating on selling everything and home.. I would appreciate your input. Thank you

I listened to your lecture on the nc constitution today. It was great---however, Gov. Hunt served 4 full terms. He initially served from 1977-85. He sat out 8 years, was succeeded by Republican James Martin who served 8 consectutive years. Then Hunt was elected again 2 consecutive times serving from 1995-2003. I am a GOP leaning unaffiliated voter, but voted for Gov Hunt every time I had the opportunity and without regret. Upon leaving office, he had been so honest and focused on his job he did not even own a late model car. Hence, his department heads chipped in and bought him a new car. Of course, as governor he was normally driven by a uniformed highway patrol trooper who doubled as his body guard. I am a retired political science professor and l student of constitutional law. I am working on a case study of state constitutional law using NC as the illustration. I appreciate coverage of our state constitution which usually neglected. Godspeed. Jack Di Sarno

Good information! I was in Bocas Del Toro in 2006 when I was 18 and was completely unaware of the dangers. There weren't any signs up back then like there are now (or so I hear)... I forget exactly where I decided to take a dip, but, a random guy actually saved me that day. I just could not get back to shore and the water swept me out to where I couldn't reach the bottom. It was really scary. Red Frog, Bluff, Paunch and Wizard would probably be the most dangerous of the Bocas area beaches right?

That’s a question I just don’t know still. I’ve been pretty close a couple times in Panama and Costa Rica but I’ve never been there. It’s pretty hot without tons of wind. I would definitely need to go a few times to see if I can adjust to the climate. It’s awesome over there so even if I can’t, I can still endure for a good long vacation
