I play 1s a lot less than 2s, that's definitely part of why my 1s rank is lower than 2s. I'm trying to think why there's a difference at all. The skill level I go up against in c1 for 1s and gc for 2s is fairly similar to eachother so maybe there's just more higher calibre players plaing 1s or people try harder in 1s. I'm not really sure! But it's weird 😂

@@ytfch-ef8zftysm for the kind words! There are a lot of aspects to the game that you need to be good at to get to GC...but, you don't need to be perfect at any of them! You've already said the biggies - recovery is extremely important. I would say 1 of the biggest things is awareness. Every play that is about to happen on or off the ball, you need to be able to predict to some extent. Know what the opponent is probably going to do and what will probably happen with the plays u make - so you can react faster

But don't take that as "you need to pre-jump". You actually should be playing reactionary all the time. Have good predictions to help you prepare and position well, so that you can react in the best possible ways.

@@ytfch-ef8zf Do you mean for the first time? It's tough to guess. I was C2/C3 border for a while and then suddenly jumped out of nowhere to GC

@@nWt_RL I main 2v2s with occasional 1's. I probably wont worry about 3's until I get to GC. Even then, Im not trying to go pro, so I'll probably still just play 2's haha

If C3D3 is more of a peak rank and not a consistent rank for you then you could just be needing experience playing people at the rank to learn how they think and how to out-think them. That's kind of what this series will be helping with. C3d3 is a really good rank to achieve so you must be doing a lot of things well. It could be you need to work on your decision-making or shadow defence or mechanics. Whatever it is, I have been playing (on and off) for many years and I love to analyse my mistakes a lot - this has helped me learn what is "good" and "bad" to do (obviously still learning tho). So just keep it up, don't panic when playing, use ur brain - you'll be playing like a GC in no time
