This is a crap repair and dangerous. There is a way to repair the original plug without your butchering. I'm an old bench tech and this video is really bad advice for anyone seeking to fix a plug like this. Scary shit 💩💩🤡🤡☠☠

If your are going to make videos like this you should at least add a disclaimer that this should only be a temporary fix in situations where it may be needed, otherwise a new plug should be fitted if it is a sealed plug that is damaged and any damaged wire should be cut back to a good point. I worked in a repair shop and if anything came in with a damaged cord/lead or plug we had to replace it before we could give it back to the owner even if it wasn't part of the reason for the repair, for legal reason we could not allow damaged plugs or cords/leads leave the shop.

I don't think people should try this for security reasons. They should buy a new plug.

Если случайно дёрнуть за провод, скрутка не выдержит, порвётся и оголённые провода замкнут. Хотя бы надо не делать скрутку напротив другой. Лучший выход- присоединить к проводу разборную вилку.

That was painful. I can understand that there are situations where you might not have access to it, and need to do in an emergency, but otherwise, that's an unsatisfactory repair. If your inner wires are unbroken with intact insulation, you could remove the cord and slip a sleeve over the wire like heat shrink and give it a slightly safer temporary repair. Having a cord end that allows the wires to make a hard bend on them like that will ensure faster breakage of the wire. That mountain of tape fix, while half-assed, would be safer than this repair. And for the love of *insert*, don't cut towards yourself like that, you're just asking for stitches when it slips... been there. Find another way to cut it, like against the table. I got hasty and lost the tip of a finger for a while cutting exactly like that. All that, and you can always take the cord from something out of use and replace it. SO and SOJ marked wires are good for tools and outdoor use.

We can buy replacement right angle cord caps you know. Just saying!

I use wire strippers myself that crazy thing looks extremely dangerous, you can clearly afford a camera for youtube so i'm sure you can go the extra and buy the proper tool without the risk of losing your fingers.
