    I was attempting to fly my kite in winds gusting at around 20 mph, using a 150 lbs Dyneema new line. I started flying it and after about only one minute of flying time, both lines broke almost simultaneously. I replaced the line with a 190 lbs Dacron braided fishing line from Bass Pro Shop.

    Great stuff, 690th Up-thumbed, saved, subscribed, all-belled. i practiced all the techniques in different wind conditions, plenty of times. Worked my way up many of the advanced moves. Next is night flying with LEDs mounted. All I need now is a kite, otherwise it keeps looking like 'Speed-Tai-Chi,' depending on wind speeds, of course.

    The only thing I ever found wrong with Prism kite is that they are pretty heavy for light winds. But overall they are high quality and I use to enjoy the Fanatic especially tip stabbing with it. I use to break the leading edge wing tip all the time because I was to lazy to walk down and pull the wing out of the ground after tip stabbing it.

    OK, you guys are not going to believe what happened. So I got my new kite yesterday afternoon from the big brown truck. I took it out, assembled it, attached the control lines and went outside but no wind. So I put it in the breezeway and went to bed. We got up this morning (Sat) to get ready to go to the beach. So I am loading the coolers and putting things in the car. I go and grab my brand new never flown stunt kite and the freakin' cat chewed through both bridles. I almost started crying. So the beach totally sucked. Beautiful 8-12 mph wind off Lake Michigan. Sucked big donkey D*@K!!!! Can anyone help me with getting the bridles rebuilt? I don't have a clue what kind of knots they use. I can only tie a square not which is not adjustable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to start searching You Tube now. Anyone want a gray short hair tiger cat named Charlie? Thanks in advance Peace!

    I am waiting on a new kite that is supposed to arrive today. I sure hope it shows or I am going to be bored to death at the beach tomorrow. I haven't flown in about 12 or so years so it should be pretty ugly. Lot's of ground hits are probably in my future. I have been watching both videos for a few days now trying to refresh my memory. I am only what I consider a strong beginner at most so it is going to be awhile before I feel competent. Thanks for posting the videos. They are priceless to me! Peace

    We ordered a prism kite a few days ago and have a few questions. 1) is this video a good tutorial for a beginner? 2) I noticed that people use straps on their wrists, is this something that you have to add on to your lines? I don't recall that being included in the purchase of the prism quantum kite. 3) we purchased a 10' tubular tail for his Prism Quantum, would it behoove him to learn the basics first then attach the tail later on? Thanks for your advice.

    I’m a newbie at kites and I always have a problem with the kite on the ground on a dead position. Pointing towards me and belly down. How can I do it for a takeoff from this position?. Thanks.

    • @snpguy55
      @snpguy55 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all kites are designed so that they can be nudged into the air from that position - in fact, most can not.

    • @aratrident-huntsville5073
      @aratrident-huntsville5073 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the kite, the wind, or the venue, I have string lengths of 25ft, 50ft, 75ft and 100ft. I use 50 ft most often -- plenty of length to have time to set up tricks, but close enough to really see what's going on with your kite and the lines.
