ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹುಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (NTCA) ಪರಿಸರ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹವಾಮಾನ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ (MoEFCC) ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಾಸನಬದ್ಧ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಟೈಗರ್ ಟಾಸ್ಕ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್‌ನ ಶಿಫಾರಸಿನ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 2005 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹುಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
