ALLMARITIM - WORKSHOP 2024
Thanks to all participants, partners, employees and crew for a successful and educational event. Here is a summary from 3 days of the AllMaritim Hands-On Workshop held on 18-20. June 2024.
During the workshop, there were educational presentations and emphasis was placed on the practical use of our solutions. Such as use of the: NOFI Current Buster High speed sweep system, ECOSPEED oil boom with electric drum, NorMar Offshore Skimmer and many more.

ECOSAFE Oil Boom

The ECOSAFE booms are conventionally inflatable oil containment booms with easily replaceable internal buoyancy chambers. The cylindrical floats with short, independent buoyancy chambers give the boom excellent floating ability and particularly good wave following properties. Should the boom suffer damage, it is easy to replace the affected buoyancy chamber on site.

Supplied by AllMaritim - www.allmaritim.com . The NorMar 200TI offshore skimmer system is a totaly integrated skimmer for collecting light to heavy oil types. The NorMar 200 is one off the biggest skimmers in the wide range off NorMar skimmers.
I am wondering if one of your Current Busters could be used to corral the orca calf that is stranded off Zeballos, on Vancouver Island, and ease her towards the opening in the bridge nearby.
sadly I do not believe that would work, the current Buster is not deep enough in the water, since it is designed to collect oil that gathers on the surface.
@@maikenmyklebust Thanks for your quick reply. However, I am not sure you fully understand the situation with respect to the stranded orca. First of all, the lagoon it is stranded in is very shallow, and so the one meter freeboard your product has would seem to be a plus in this case. Second, the idea would not be to collect the orca in the CB, but to gently nudge her to open water nearby. Of course, she could always swim under the boom, or maybe even jump over it, and so the equipment would only work if and when she is ON the surface, as opposed to being under water. But it is worth a try, don't you think?
