hello Allen and Terry. Great video. I love your videos Terry because I learn something new about Doctor Who with each one.
The 70's was the decade for Velvet. When my Grandmother died in the late '90's, her shop was filled with it and we couldn't give it away. Gerry Davis, who created the Cyberman, spoke at the 1st Dr. Who Con in LA about what a gifted comedian Pertwee was but how he had it written into his contract no jokes or humor for the role. He wanted play it straight and show he could be a serious actor.

I remember reading the novelisation, and K-9 in the book was left behind because he'd been damaged and repaired going through a gate. Because of the nature of the repairs, he'd fall to pieces if he went through again. But I don't recall that as part of the episode.

Sylvester McCoy was quite good. Sophie Aldred was another great woman warrior, baseball bat and explosives. And per the Star Trek and X-men crossover comic, if they'd brought in the Seventh Doctor, the "Doctor McCoy!" panel with Bones and the Beast would have been a great addition. 😅
I also have the Time Travelers on CD, also known as the Dominie, where he and Sophie portrayed the Professor and Ace. AND there are 9 more stories.
I've enjoyed the tales of Anansi since I first saw them on PBS - I want to say that it was a Sesame Street segment. This wonderful human is a great storyteller. Thank you for sharing this.

It was good seeing William in the Companion Group one more time. Terrence Dicks in a novelization described how Ian had changed over his adventures, taut musculature, calloused hands from all the karate chops, and tanned skin, just short of James Bond himself.
One of my favorite pictures of Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah Janebl Smith is her from The Pyramids of Mars. She's in a white turn of the century dress and is cradling a Lee Enfield rifle in preparation to detonate the box of dynamite at the pyramid base. The combination of beauty and ferocity in the picture paved the road for Leela and River. ❤
In 1984 or 85 Jon Pertwee & Elizabeth Sladen came to Mobile as part of a Doctor Who tour presented by PBS. Has to be my favorite Who memory. Than You for all of the videos you are watching Terry @ Tardis Spider

One of my favorite Matt Smith behind the scenes interviews was about how he was inspired by Troughton and Frasier as a comedy duo, and how he based his own physicality on Troughton. Also, tales of Patrick and Jon's squirt gun wars always tickles me.
I'm going to say - she's stubborn and by now, the universe knows her blue shell as a symbol of hope. She does change her appearance as seen in The Day of The Doctor, with the three versions unapologetically looking different, and I love Twelve's line in Twice Upon a Time when One criticized how large she looked. "You try sucking it in all the time. " 😂
The title intrigued me, the Pertwee appreciation and cosplay earned a subscription. 😊

Do you think the Doctor's wardrobe choices became more colourful in later seasons to contrast The Master's obvious preference for darker shades?!

When, about 15 years ago, when I started buying the DVDs, it slowly dawned on me just how much influence the Third Doctor had had on me as I was growing up. I was a staff trainer at the time and apparently quite a good one. Someone asked me where I'd got my attitude from, had I been a teacher? I instantly thought of the Doctor encouraging that lone Thal in Planet of the Daleks. After that, I noticed several other things. I'm not saying this to big myself up as I am fully aware of my flaws as well. And I've never reversed the polarity of anybody's neutron flow.
I always feel like they were inspired by one of Justin Hayward's outfits from early Moody Blues, lol...same goes for Austin Powers ;)

For years, JP said that they were his grandfather's jackets. Eventually, it came out that the costume designer thought of the jackets and shirts after JP decided he wanted a cloak. The late 60s were a sort of Renaissance for The Dandy. Justin Hayward, "Dave Dee, Dozey, Beaky, Mick and Titch", Adam Adamant, all had a similar aesthetic and people like Peter Wyngarde in his Jason King character brought the Dandy up to date with huge lapels and shirts and ties made in the same fabric.

people like henry fonda who didn't like the colorization of b&w film was wrong but fail to realized that the props costumes etc,etc was shown in b&w until color was in was used in January 1954. which proves that the original b&w version of movies and tv shows still exist like dr. who unless someone decides to show them in color. well done! tardis spider.
Thank You for watching & commenting, B&W even had a different type/style of make-up, make-up & lighting were sometimes used as a SFX, (Jekyll & Hyde early 30's). But I do believe that some of the Classic Who stories could be colorized and used to attract new eyes. But never ever get rid of the original productions, they are there own work of art. @@sallyhobbit1956 oK, got it now Disney+ Who is a very sad thing. I have not watched it but it still has drained the fun out of it. I keep my spirits up up with the Classic series. Classic Who is a great cup of coffee in an easy chair with a good newspaper. New Who is instant coffee on the way to work, Disney Who well let's not talk about it

A couple of months ago I was lent Elisabeth Sladen's autobiography. I don't usually read actor's books but I was laid up with an injury. I was just going to read about Doctor Who but read the whole thing. Her take on The Time Warrior and how Sarah Jane Smith was written is very different. Lis Sladen loved the script! Also, listen to the dvd commentary of The Time Warrior. Again, she said how good SJS was written and she appreciated how Holmes gave her such freedom in the role.

First of all, the fact that there are spidr(s) literally, says a LOT about what is going on second, time war began in 1996, concluded somewhere in 2010 with that sonic guy doing that physics stuff with the entire homeworld. The octopus people are like, the song "ends" but story, never ends.
