Salvation means to recognize God and strive to follow His teachings . The growth is infinite. Overcoming test and trials is what makes us stronger . So the closer you get to God the stronger the test will be. But God will not allow a test to come our way that we cannot pass. Only God knows our spiritual capacity. For some people it is overcoming lying and for another soul it is overcoming the fear of death, like Stephen did.

Jesus finished shedding his blood at the last supper when He gave His last instructions to the disciples. If you read the Bible and apply it to your life , you will see it will make you a new creature.

And it is the word of God that gives us eternal life because it puts us in hormony with God . And nearness to God means being like God.
