Oman Royal Air Force Rescue Operation
This incident happened on February 6, 2017. We were towing a barge loaded with 11000 tons of black stone from Oman to Qatar. Due to the bad weather, we decided to postpone the journey and anchor. After the barge was caught in a storm at night and sank on one side, I called 112 on the mobile phone for help. After the request, the three of us were rescued by the Oman Air Force. The accident happened due to wrong decision by the captain and the first officer by placing the anchor in the wrong place.🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Muscat: Oman’s Air Force has come to the rescue of three Sri Lankan nationals in a ship sailing to Khasab Port in Oman. A helicopter of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) rescued the three Sri Lankan nationals from the ship sailing to Khasab Port on Friday. The unstable weather condition forced the ship crew to call for help, Times of Oman reported. The members of the crew have been transported to Khasab Airbase.

If you told me there were 24,000 containers on this boat I would not believe you, but I know it's true because I've seen the specs for this model of boat, & its sisters. All are 399m long & can take 24k containers.. unreal 😁👍😍

The MSC Irina is not unique, she has two twin sisters: the MSC Loreto and the MSC Michael Cappellini. These will soon be joined by others currently under construction. I write some data about these gigantic boats Length 399.9 metres, width 61.3 metres, average draft 14.2 and 16.5 at full load. Average speed 13 knots, maximum speed 22.5 knots. They have a WinGD 11-X92 engine which develops approximately 71000 kw

It was the oil tanker Seawise Giant, which was also called Happy Giant, Jhare Viking, Konck Navis and Mont. She was discharged in 2010. It was 459 meters long, almost 69 meters wide and drew over 24 metres. Irina and her sisters are still almost sixty meters away from competing with this monster 😂
