Stringer just wanted to flex that he knows economics. Who benefits from the re-up? He does. When he talked about profit being up 8-9%, who’s keeping that profit? He is. The season 2 union workers would’ve caught this. The boys are concerned and asking about the corners because that’s their day job. Stringer is talking about the gain of the business entity, not the workers.

Avon's behavior in this scene always made me question if can made him a bit crazy or he started using.
Naw the acting was just superb by Wood Harris. This was Avon's chance to son Marlo which he did which was perfectly acted out by Wood Harris.
