Installing King Plus Fence | Faster, Stronger, Less Money
How about fixing those runners first
Hey, Mr. Fence. I’m in the process of starting a fence company it may need to be a one man show for a little bit. Few questions for you: 1) is this an efficient method for me considering I’d have to run back and forth. 2) why exactly can’t you cut posts? If the post is 66 out of the ground it only needs 1/3 in right? 3) do you water in the posts at the end. Thanks from Florida God bless.
You're on the right track but instead of using one line used two lines one at the bottom and one at the top (obviously your first & last post are set up.. I'm going out to get a laser pointer to set the high of the posts strings sag to much over large distances!
Should I paint or tar the bottom of the post before setting in the ground, live in Florida?
Lets be real folks!!!! When you see trucks like them right there pull up, you already know what time it is!!! Clearly this is the NOT FU#$IN AROUND CREW!!!! And that's just for fence and gates. Good GOD i wonder what there concrete looks like!?!
That's Purdy right there boys, damn purdy!!!!
Let's see that gat today. I'll bet it sags. your cross brace isn't hitting anything on the bottom to resist the downward pressure.
I used to live on top of a little beaver! We'd dig and set two to three residential yards five days a week, every week! American fence company out of Sioux Falls uses these for all of their residential sets. I eventually obtained a CDL and started rolling commercial jobs with heavy equipment. Much much easier work 😂! P.S. my back found it beneficial to straddle the auger shaft after It was about 12 inches deep into the dirt. Something about standing sideways next to it, digging that my back didn't like. Straddling it, squaring up my hips, I could run it all day everyday...
I noticed you said Texas. What areas of the country do you service?
This is fire.
Why does everyone build these fences wrong like this? Top rail board not flat protecting post top? Finger space between post and pickets because rails aren't flush with post? Why do y'all do that? I never see fences like this in real life. Only on TH-cam
What about showing a double gate?
Great teacher!
Love this tool but my only issue is what happens when you have a decorative top posts?
Man if you've worked for a fence company a day in your life. You would understand that this would be one of the best trainers in the game , definitely will share this knowledge
Damm those nails are lines up like a beginner did it 😂😂😂 I was looking for a video oh now to do it perfect 😂
The reason for that is nails in a straight line are not as structurally strong as nails that are offset top to bottom on fence pickets.
Big waist of time
I’ve cut thicker metals than with the skill saw so it’s all good just wear a face shield or glasses due to metal flakes
Thank you 👍🏾
I’ve poured fast setting concrete into the post hole before setting posts… can I do the same with normal quickrete? The regular 60lb yellow bags?
Equilateral triangles have 60° angles. I know you meant the rise and run on a right triangle (90, 45, 45) but was confused for a sec
These type of videos are great 👍
Why not just use a 300 foot tape? You can pull it tight and go 8 foot centers or 7foot 6 and cut all your runners
Never trust a builder wearing gloves, gotta protect those tender lil sandwich grabbers!😂
Makita now make a 40v specialist metal saw with magnetic catch that's perfect
Sounds good and all but I’ve never had any vinyl posts tilt on either side If u set it right then it’ll stay level forever
I like the idea. Less digging. Less dirt, less labor. Would you say initial costs are more, less, or comparable?
About the same if done right
How fast can you put it back together though
Looks sweet
No concrete holding the posts??
My posts are in concrete. What now?
Worst, fill the hole with concrete then embed it inside. Don’t use bags and add water that’s rookie special. Mix the shit or get a concrete truck. Fill holes with Crete n then slam the post in.. efficiency and perfection at its finest with this method. Time is money
This is the dumbest thing ever
You shouldn’t stain PT pine that fast. I’m sure cedar is fine but PT needs time to dry before you lock moisture in with a stain
Just started a deck and fence company down here in Texas. Learning so much from you. Making improvements to my product. Thanks brutha
Keep up the great work man
Love your videos Shawn!
Great job guys!
you talk too much
6 ft pickets, what size post and how deep?
That's cool!
if you have that many guys learning to put up fence then they should have learn from someone that actually knew how to do it......
"This fence will fail if we don't follow those steps." ... Except filling in the tops of holes with dirt will rot the bottom of the posts. Every fence contractor thinks they know best and it's about 50/50 on this issue across the board. It's the great fence conundrum. POSSIBLY deal with frost heave, or deal with much faster rot keeping the posts in contact with the soil. The question of the ages.
Most of the time I just set to grade. No cutting needed
Of course you made a tool for it😂. Just do it by hand rather than paying a ridiculous price for the tool that saves about 5-10 seconds
or yknow.. take a tent stake and bend it?
That took probably costs 1 dollar
Made a tool for it.. its called a “hook” multiple uses..
He’s using regular fence tie. Not a tool.
The point of the video is to demonstrate you can do it with a wire tie (something every fencer probably has an abundance of)
Was any machinery used or was this all by hand?
All by hand
Yup "The Bull" looked to be the clear winner to me for multiple reasons. Though with that being said if I was to do any, whatever the cheapest driver there would suffice as the slight difference in the time wouldn't even matter to me.... time ='s money for those doing it as a profession however. I just mash mine in with my excavator because no worries about my property being damage or working in tight spaces.... though if I ever was to need one, they all seem to be great options/units.
Sch 40 - Not a chance, that's sch10 max
That’s impressive for two days of work let alone one.
Light weight. I wouldn't install that.
You’d be amazed at what you can cut with a skill saw😊
