So many amazing stories
Enjoyed the presentation and learning about the history. The story about you riding the motorcycle through the movie set was classic. Great job Ken!
Question? The petrified wood on Hurricane/Smith/Rockville/Goosebberry is what type of tree? AWESOME lectures!!!!
I've read about Silver Reef before, but had no idea that there was a Chinese community there. Fascinating lecture and thank you for sharing.
What a lovely woman. I live near Silver Reef. My husband is buried in the Catholic cemetery there. Thanks for sharing your story!

Thank you for the opportunity to share our story of,”where Dixie began .” Thank you to the panel that participated.. so proud of our city and loved telling the story where we started and how far we have come and what our future looks like .. love that our history will never be forgotten .♥️
Thanks for the short tour of Washington. George thanks for the insights. Two sets of my great gramdparents were some of the original settlers that helped in the first settlement. The Blazzard's and the Averett's struggled with the first people to face the harsh conditions to create a town. Thanks again. Dr. John M. Jennings
Thanks Dr. Jennings. You come from a hardy heritage for sure!
My mother lived in Silver Reef as a child and knew Anne very well. Basset never appreciated being confused with Eta and seemed to have no use for the woman. Bob Parker was well known in Silver Reef and Leeds because of the McMullin/Parker family connection and would have known Basset fairly well. I doubt they were ever romantically involved.
Is you mother still alive? Does she have any journal writings of her time in Silver Reef?
