I bought new the 1982 CBX in 1985 for $2,995. It was leftover as the 1981-1982 were detuned for Germany restrictions on bikes over 100 HP. I liked the fairing on the CBX, really sporty at the time. I made mistake of letting a friend try it out. Totaled! He survived yet that CBX did not. I loved that bike! Today, I have a BMW bike, the new bikes are so much better, yet that CBX sound and smooth ride was just so nice compared to any other bike of the day.
