Momma, we all need to do what we need to do. You are so lucky you can craft with little ones. I ended up stopping crafting for about 30 years until I could get back to it again without being pulled in so many directions. It was a huge chunk of my life that was lost until I re discovered it again. Now I’m retired and all I do is craft!

My kid is the same as your daughter, he gets home and becomes a whole mess. He masks throughout the school day so by the time he gets home he’s can’t deal anymore. I’m hoping this year will be different since he started his adhd meds this summer 🤞

Enjoyed your purple 💜 page on Margery. I've heard other creators taking breaks because life sometimes have little inconveniences and it gets overwhelming at times. We try to use our journaling as therapy, but sometimes we just need to step out and get some fresh air and shake off that wonky feeling our shoulders to get some relief. Drink water. Girlie, someone that saves your life with toilet paper is AMAZING!! I feel a lot of what you're saying about friends though. It's so hard for many of us, even though on the outside, we may all seem like it's easy. NOT! I'm in awe of her resin work. Wow! Lights in resin?????????????? Genius!! Looks so cool! I've made resin jewelry, but that's amazing! I keep thinking I'll try making a beaded resin tray or something, but I just never do it. Air bubbles. lol

Your daughter is adorable and she had all the speech ready for the voice over! I love the fart noises her sister made 😂 Teaching kids consent is so important! I wish more adults understood that. And all your worries are so valid. This is what being a neurodivergent parent to neurodivergent kids is: worrying they won’t be accepted or they will suffer like many of us who grew up not knowing we were neurodivergent. Hopefully the school system is good for them and you can advocate for them. I’m still trying to get my son the right accommodations he needs! Good luck!

Adults need to learn how to respect the bodily autonomy of kids. PERIOD. You are a great mom, respecting your daughter for who she is. And for protecting her right to say no. Teaching girls that their decisions about who does and does not touch them are to be respected? Yes. More of that please. I'd insert a standing ovation gif if I could. Shine... It's getting close to the end of the July challenge. Everyone goes through their ups and downs. I started writing inspiring, motivational quotes in my journal. I found this one, "THE JOB OF BEING...There will be days when your favorite thing to do is Nothing. Allow yourself to do exactly that. Some days Being is your only job." author unknown. I asked my neighbor one morning, how are you doing? His reply was, "I'm living the life!" I thought cruises, vacays. She continued with, "At my age, I am still able to get out of bed and walk and work in my garden." You do you. You've got this.

I also did a sewing theme for buttons! Instead of drawing buttons, I made some with paper. I don’t really have interesting buttons to use. I’ve always loved that you use what you have! I’ve been tempted to use crayons for a while, I think I will now!

I love that you used a crayon 🖍️ I know exactly what you mean. My supplies are all over the place, especially my markers!! I Can never find my tape or glue because my kids always “need” my supplies. Your spreads are beautiful!! 😊

Oh wow, yeah, Florida is just awful climate-wise. I went there once and the heat and humidity was like a fist every time we went outside. I like fall in New England and winter, so, so lovely. I like the cold though, really enjoy being cold outside and then getting warm especially by a fire. ^_^ As always, I love your pages! So creative but real and unfussy. This is my kind of junk journaling even though I admire all the other kinds too.

This is such a cute little journal! i have not done anything really small yet. I'm working on my first accordion style and it's.... going ok I think. LOL

Love this! I also love music pages so much! A coworker of my husband gave me 2 boxes of old music sheets and books and stuff to use!!! (I am a librarian and asked if they were getting rid of any old stuff because I did junk journals with the teens and adults this summer) Another thing I really, really like are those little vintagey, symmetrical tags that are usually yellowy-off-white and say things like "Journal" "Inspire" "Field Notes" etc on them. I find them in ephemera books pretty often.

I struggled with shade so much! You did such a great job with it! I love the use of trees for shade! And the poem works great! Well, guess what was my obsession as a teen? Poetry! I wrote hundreds of poems from age 11 till my mid 20s. I don’t write as often now, but it’s still my favorite way to communicate 😅
