Do a video on how to install a 05 Camry latch
@@qt_hacker8672 it’s very similar to removal, just the opposite!
Nice, but if the trunk doesn't want to open, what should I do?
Hello, I'm sorry to hear that. If it doesn't open manually with your key there could be a couple of options: if your trunk has a manual release from the inside you can try to open it from the release through the armrest on the back seat (with a long piece of metal). The hard way is removing the back seat, the metal brace, and crawl into the trunk. I usually have to do a cut in the fabric near where they key is so you can grab onto that metal bar to manually open the latch. Good luck!

The convertible version has 47 kg more steel in reinforcement over the hardtop version
Hey Dave, just loved your last video! It was amazing! I noticed that you're not using any (customized thumbnails/better titles/descriptions/tags) on your video. I was wondering why. I'm running a TH-cam video Promotion/SEO Company and I'm always curious to learn the choices of content creators. Looking forward to chatting together Ruhul Best Ruhul amin
@@RuhulAmin-ow4qy thanks for your comment!
At the beginning of the video, the controller closest to the camera, what is that little round light window up and to the right of the 3 and 4 on the speed dial? When is that supposed to light up? Does it even light up? Thanks.
@@artramirez3506 there’s actually a 4th bulb that you can unscrew in that area. It’s in a black holder next to the electrical panel lug. I think it is supposed to light up.
Excellent video, superb. I've done virtually the same with my identical 2004 Camry latch (which contains the trunk light switch .. my problem). I've dissected down to the bones, and had to surgically remove with an X*ACTO knife the plastic sheathing). The two conductors that one might believe go to the motor - one carries the +12V motor voltage, but the second is the ground side of the trunk light bulb. This wire is grounded to the body only when the truck is open, and in fact body ground is used to ground the motor circuit (no incoming ground, only the body ground). Very clever, but physically a bad design, as dirt and corrosion have come between the irremovable rotating mechanism. Just fyi, as this has been an ongoing project just for a trunk light to work, and I was surprised by the use of body ground only, and that one of the wires I was certain fed the motor circuit ... well, that's Toyota's clever way to switch the trunk light on and off. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video Dave Ng :)
Excellent write up! I did a bench testing video here in case you need it - but I think you have it figured out! th-cam.com/video/bpp8OlUJJmA/w-d-xo.html
I replaced a Honda civic trunk following your video, but I must have not connected the open trunk cable to the latch in the correct location. Is there a diagram showing the correct position. Also, the key lock does not operate as it should and trigger the latch to open. Any suggestions?
@@Mickey-d1v sorry you are having some trouble. Maybe have a friend pull on the release next to the driver’s seat so you can see the cable moving to release the latch; it might help line things up better. You might also want to make sure that the key is working correctly in the cylinder before attaching the bar. For a diagram maybe see if you can pull a factory service manual for the car.
Thanks it’s perfect but any idea why this happens? And how I can fix it?
I think making sure that your battery is charged and will take a load. I use a cheap harbor freight load tester: www.harborfreight.com/100-amp-612v-battery-load-tester-61747.html

Can you explain me my Honda 2002 climate light sometimes on/off heat blow my face
It could be some different things but when this happened to me it was the heater blower resistor. I got one from the junkyard but here's what they look like: ebay.us/NhCpxm You could also try making sure the area around the cabin filter is clean (pull out the filters and clean all the debris) - this could be blocking the blower motor.

@@mightydmax6182 for sure
thanks for the video. I have a persistent message says: TRUNK LID OPEN. however the locking mechanism works normally. what could he the cause?
Check the electrical connection/and where the wiring harness plugs into the actuator. There are two pins on the trunk latch that tell the dash and trunk that the latch is open. I think they are the 3rd and 4th from the left. Check for corrosion at that spot.
Try this video: th-cam.com/video/yO0ZIxIJZI8/w-d-xo.html It goes a little more in depth
