Just found a promo this morning @ a local thrift shop ,very impressive and most interesting music,I checked out the liner notes, noticed that Jim Hall was on guitar ,didn't know that Eric Dolphy was on this. Really great track here ,will listen intently onwards

You may not know that It's A Beautiful Day did their version of this tune, Bombay Calling, which Vince Wallace's son says his dad was not given credit or $ for it, but it made IABD band a lot of money. Probably all true.

A terrific example of "bellowing" with the accordion, where the bellows are used to "breath" out the notes. It's a technique that adds tremendous dynamics to the phrasing. Also notice that both the guitar and vibes musicians have the same dynamics with the way they play their instruments. Not many jazz musicians today exploit this technique very much, because the trend now is to play a bazillion notes per second, which makes it impossible to make single notes and small groups of notes into their own phrase. What are the credits for this great recording? Who are the musicians, when was it recorded?
