Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort and Spa
If you are a fan of mineral hot springs this is a must to add to your bucket list! We also really enjoyed the not only having our private tub to fill with mineral hot spring water but also the location. Located by the beautiful Avila beach. A nice walk or a short ride.

It’s Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen
The architecture is so strange!! Decorations are beautiful but the building exteriors are giving a strong prison vibe. Gonna stay clear of this one given the absolutely horrendous Trip Advisor reviews. But thanks for the walkthrough!
Totally see what you’re saying! Gave them the benefit of the doubt being new. We would give it one more chance to check it once they are more settled and see if things changed.
how much extra is the impression add on?
It’s not really an add on. They made it as a separate hotel. It’s quite a bit more pricey. Prices vary so there isn’t an exact number, but quite a bit more

how was the quality and variety of the food?
That one is a little hard to say since people have different taste/preferences in food. We are big on food, good food. I know some places switch up the menus but here are the restaurants the menus were always the same, and we were there over a week. The pizza at the beach club was amazing when made in the wood oven but half way through that changed and wasn’t so good anymore. I guess they are still figuring things out. Probably the best dinner was the Mediterranean restaurant if you like seafood and meat. The Jasmine has sushi, but if you know good sushi you will not appreciate it. Breakfast buffet was very basic. Overall it wasn’t bad, there were some good dishes but still not up to the standard you would except at a Secrets hotel.

is the bottle of wine in the wine fridge included in the all-inclusive price, or is it an extra charge?
It was a welcome bottle that was placed there when we checked in. Just at time of arrival. They don’t replenish.
