    I like the scale idea! Also the smoothie idea when you don't want to eat something but you need to get some kind of nutrition in your body. My problem is it's super hard for me to tell how hungry I am most of the time. I have some ARFID-like tendencies, though I'm not diagnosed. I almost never feel like eating and sometimes I have to set multiple alarms on my phone that yell at me to eat or I would just put it off/completely forget until I'm shaking from low blood sugar. So if I only ate when I felt hungry, I'd probably end up passing out or something.

    Interesting story about the lady who helped you. I personally hate the line "you decide whether you want to get better or not". Obviously the things you talk about with diet and exercise are choices that improve health, but sometimes you're just sick and no matter what you do you're still sick. With mental health "you'll get better when you want to get better" is like a death knell for me lol. I don't have fibromyalgia personally, so I don't know if it's purely controllable through lifestyle choices. But I'm glad it worked for you!

      mikan199 thank you so much for your thoughts! When it comes to mental health I completely agree with you. It doesn’t matter what you try to do you are still sick. I mostly talk about fibromyalgia. But I can talk about other mental health topics. Is there anything you’d like me to discuss?

      @@katienielsen9043 Stuff about the intersection of physical and mental illnesses would be cool! But if it doesn't go along with your channel theme I like learning about fibromyalgia too, so no biggie :)

    I really liked this! One thing I do when I’m feeling depressed, especially if I have no one to cuddle with, is first I take a hot shower where the water is nearly too hot to be in. I’ll stay in the shower until my whole body is relaxed and warm. Then I will get dressed, turn on my rotary fan to a low speed, get into bed and cover myself in a fleece blanket and cocoon myself. I will then slowly rock myself till I doze off. I normally have a heavier fleece blanket for the winter and a lighter fleece blanket for the summer. Since I live alone it is very effective and makes you feel safe and held, for me it makes me feel happier and refreshed. This method also calms my anxiety. If you have an S.O. then the added comfort, warmth and them rocking you is even more soothing. This is especially useful when you have kids as this will remind them of protection, safety, love and comfort.
